•Stumbling into a monster couple’s domain there’s only one of them there and they insist you stay as a “dinner guest”. You survive only due to the fact that when this monsters spouse was parading as a human to test if you were going to leave them behind to save yourself when you don’t there’s no monsters out trying to kill you and it would have been the nicest dinner you’ve been too if you weren’t so spooked. The couple makes sure you bring a casserole home with you and you not to have a mild panic attack not even noticing a number on the sticky note attached to the tuberware

•curses and wishes gone terribly wrong will almost always have a monsters who feed off calamity behind it. while it seems like a normal day for both you and the monster the ending isn’t one any scary movie would ever expect. Your “friends” catch on fast to your immunity against everything from exploding cars to poisoned food they try killing you in your sleep and your monster shows up before despite all if the blood on them and how scary they look fear is no were near your thoughts on them in that moment they take you to a nice lil mom and pop dinner to help calm your nerves over food and you aren’t sure when it suddenly turned into a dare but you aren’t complaining

•you know exactly what you married and you know it’s just easier for both you and your lover to pretend you don’t know what they really are. You know they haven’t been eating right while trying to keep up their very bad human act. You can never out right say it but you leave their meat more raw and let them know you trust them and aren’t scared of them without ever giving away their true nature. There’s days however when you lye in bed your mind too troubled to even help yourself and on those days the shadows around you seem more larger and threatening to everyone near you waiting to strike if it means you’d feel better

•You have always felt bad for your grandmother who has lived by herself since the death of your grandfather many years before you even were born. Her home is still the same one she had at the beginning of her marriage and you’ve always wondered how she could stand being there for so long. It’s still beautiful right by the lake and after learning that your family is all to happy to send her to a home despite her almost perfect health you make an arrangement to live with her and “take care of her”. Which is ironic because she could definitely outdo you in every possible way. She even rises hours earlier than you to get a head start on her wood carvings almost all of them still have the same fish like creatures your grandmother has been inspired by even before your parents were born. It’s not long before you find out the truth behind your grandfather’s death and the lake isn’t just home to lil fishes instead there’s giant lake monsters that nearly give you a heart attack when you first see them… And it only gets worse when they start to follow you around everywhere like a lost puppy and refuse to leave your side. You try hiding them from your grandmother but that only works for so long before she starts to tease you about the hot catch you brought in…..
