Midoriya x Reader

Summary: Reader breaks down in a remote area, and is helped by a kind stranger.


Breaking down always sucked, but breaking down in the middle of the night in a remote area sucked worse. Staring into the fields of nothing surrounding the highway, you reached over and hit the lock button on your door, feeling nervousness creeping up your spine. 

The resounding “click!” of all four doors locking didn’t comfort you like it should have. It wasn’t like you hadn’t driven this same road every night home from work for the last four years; realistically, you shouldn’t have been afraid of anything. There was nothing out there. Just darkness and what looked vaguely like corn in the distance.

Your forehead thumped against the steering wheel as you debated what to do. You’d managed to pull off the road when the white smoke began pouring from the hood of your car, so there was no reason for you to exit the vehicle. It wasn’t like you could have fixed whatever was wrong with it anyway; you didn’t know a thing about cars. 

Your cell phone had been dead for the better part of an hour, and you had yet to replace your broken car charger. It was like all the stars had aligned in order to give you the creepiest evening ever. Close to tears at the situation, you rubbed at your eyes, letting out a groan. Your heart was thundering in your chest as you realized you’d have to walk to get help. It was just a matter of when you wanted to do it; walking around in the dark made you feel nauseous with anxiety.
