Tamaki x Reader
Summary: Reader leaves gifts for Tamaki.
Tamaki had been around for a long, long time. The little shrine your family kept was one of many he visited, but it had slowly become his favorite. He liked to watch you fuss over maintaining it, and you always left more treats and gifts than necessary. It had all started when you were a child.
He’d been spotted collecting his shiny offerings by a bright eyed little visitor, arms full of her own gifts. It was an assortment of nonsense, but it wasn’t the first time he’d witnessed children’s attempts at offerings. You were adorable; had he been a bit braver, he might have said something to you, but instead he leapt into the air and flew out of your sight. He’d listened to your soft protests, gentle but demanding, from a nearby tree, grinning a bit to himself when you stomped your tiny foot before arranging your gifts for him anyway.
After that, you came by every day. Rain or shine. The next clear memory Tamaki had of you was the time that you’d come by late in the evening, umbrella in hand and muttering an apology he wasn’t close enough to make out completely. He realized you were crying as he inched closer, head cocking to one side thoughtfully.
You didn’t talk about whatever had upset you, instead just dropping your gifts — at this age, you’d realized he liked shiny trinkets the most — before turning and heading home. He’d followed you, then, to be sure you made it home alright; he watched you walk up your front steps and through the front door, and when you finally made it up to your room, he was startled to see your blinds fly open and you wave down at him almost shyly. He’d turned pink in embarrassment, but hesitantly waved back before fading into the forest.
