Urie’s, Mage’s, and Lindo’s are all ones based off things that have actually happened to me. Rem’s happened to my aunt once.
Urie’s is actually pretty much word for word how I remember it, but in real life it just ended with me ignoring him until he left.
Rem
-You’re waitressing at a restaurant one afternoon when you see Rem being led to a table by one of your coworkers. You wave and move onto the next table.
– “Hi, what can I get for you?”
-The two guys at the table look you up and down, gazes lingering in places they shouldn’t.
– “So, you have both the breakfast and lunch items right now?” asks one of them.
-“Yes, you can order anything on the menu right now,” you reply.
-The second one grabs the menu and throws it on the ground. “Then stand on it.”
-You stand there for a moment, flabbergasted.
– “Hi.” A hand takes yours turning you around. “Sorry, just a moment,” says Rem to the two creeps. “How are you today?” He squeezes your hand and gives you a soft kiss on the mouth. “It’s nice to see you.”
-You blush slightly and smile. “Nice to see you too. I’ll come around to your table in a minute.”
-He nods, gives the two boys at a death stare, and returns to his own table.
Urie
-You’re working the front counter at a barista job. Urie, waiting for you to get off your shift in twenty minutes, waits at a table near the counter, drinking tea.
-A man comes in, walks in, and orders a coffee. “That’s too much! I have four kids to feed. They eat a lot… you’ll end up like that someday.”
-…Okay then. You force a smile and start making his drink.
-Urie, at his table, looks up at you quizzically, clearly having heard.
-You hand the weirdo his drink.
“Hey, what time are you off?” asks the man.
“I’m not comfortable telling you that.” Is this guy actually serious?
-”Eight? Nine?”
Nope. Nope. You glance over at Urie, who’s already on his feet.
-”Ah, my butterfly!” Urie strides up to the counter, smiling at you. He leans across the counter, cups your cheek, and gives you a kiss. “I hope you’re ready for this evening.”
-The creepy guy stares at you both for a moment.
– “Is something wrong?” asks Urie. “You have four children to feed – surely you can’t afford to take such a lovely butterfly on a date worthy of her?”
“I would hate to deprive your children,” you add.
-He slinks away.
-Urie chuckles. “The things some men will do try…” His expression turns dark for a moment. “Anyway. I’ll be waiting.” He leans across the counter again, kisses your cheek, and returns to his table.
Mage
-You’re waiting on tables one afternoon and you see Mage being escorted to a table by one of the hostesses. You wave at him and move onto the next table, where an old man is sitting.
–“Hi!” You take his order. “So… green tea and a number 5. Anything else?”
-His gaze roves around the room, individually settling on your coworkers. “How much does it cost to work here?”
–“…I’m sorry?”
“Very pretty girls.”
Your skin crawls.
– “Yeah, and this one’s mine.” A hand settles on your hip as Mage pushes you slightly behind him.
-The old guy looks annoyed and waves him off.
-Mage continues to stand there and glare.
–“Mage, I’ll be back with you in a second.”
-You take your break and sit in his booth with him. Mage glares continuously at the guy until he leaves.
– “Thank you, Mage,” you say once he’s stopped glaring at the door.
“Don’t worry about it. You’re mine. I don’t want anyone else thinking they can get away with that.”
Shiki
-Shiki had stopped in at the store where you worked, to meet you for a date which you were both having after work.
-You didn’t see the guy behind you until you turned around from stocking shelves. “Oh, sorry! Can I help you?”
“You know where the apples are?”
–“They’re just over in aisle 5.”
“Thanks. Hey, you have a sexy voice. You want to go out?”
-You bite your lip and take a step back. What? “I…”
-A pair of arms around your waist, pulling you back against Shiki’s chest. “Don’t tell me you’d want to leave me for this loser.” He glares daggers at your would-be suitor.
-The guy gulps nervously. “Sorry, I think I have somewhere else to be.” He nearly sprints to the end of the aisle.
Lindo
-You’re working being the counter at a fast food joint. Lindo is waiting behind you in the line. A man who has to be at least eighty is in front of him.
-You take the man’s order, not really paying too much attention to his chatter. You reach out for the change in his hand and he jerks it away, with an obnoxious smile.
Your hand catches slightly on his and the change scatters on the counter.
-“Well, that’s one way to get my attention.” He gives you a creepy smile, handing you the change. “Unless you wanted to get my attention?”
-Nope. Nope. Nope. Ew nope.
-Behind him, Lindo’s expression darkens. Then he puts on a smile.
“Her attention’s all for me, I think.”
The guy turns around, reddening. He hands you his change and makes a hasty exit.
–“Thanks, Lindo.”
-“No problem.”
Roen
-You’re working the morning shift at a grocery store as a cashier. Roen gets into your line and you give him a little wave. “Next!”
-The next person in line greets you with a wink and a way too friendly smile. “How’s your day, Gorgeous?”
-You look down and grab his stuff, pulling it through the scanner.
-He continues trying to chat you up as you avoid eye contact and keep scanning his stuff through. You sneak up a glance at Roen, who looks about done with the guy.
-Roen pushes past the guy a bit harder than necessary. He gives you a beaming smile, taking your hand and kissing your knuckles. “I hope your day’s going well?”
– “I wasn’t done,” snarls the obnoxious guy, reddening.
-“Oh? She’s rung up your items, and you’ve paid and then been holding up the line trying to engage her in a conversation she is clearly disinterested in.” He leans across the counter and gives you a kiss on the cheek. “I don’t suppose you would like to finish?”
-The guy grabs his bags and stomps off in a huff.
-Roen glares softly at his back, then turns a smile on you. “It would seem your would-be suitor has given up his pursuit rather quickly.”
–“He never had a chance.”
