I agree!! I wish he could have survived! Could you do a scenario with Alma? Whatever you want to do plot wise! (But it would be cute to have him pestering Kanda somewhere in there, yeah? Lol)

(It’s official: exorcistcupid is now following a timeline where Alma is alive and well. Okay? Okay.)

“Yuu, they are perfect,” Alma Karma cooed at his long standing best friend. Kanda sighed and pushed his noodles around with his chopsticks.

“That’s nice,” he replied dryly. “I don’t care.”

“Aw, Yuu!” whined Alma, grabbing his friend by the arm and shaking him. “I listen to you whine and complain about your life problems, the least you could do is pretend like you care about mine!”

“If they are so perfect, why are you considering them one of your ‘life problems’?” Kanda asked, shoving his bowl away. He was no longer hungry. “Idiot, that makes no sense.”

“Oh, no! You misunderstand. They aren’t the problem, I am!” he lamented. “I just can’t work up the nerve to talk to them.” Kanda shook his head in exasperation.

“You talk them every day? What hell are you going on about?”

“No, like, you know, to talk about other stuff. You know, like,” Alma lifted the inside edge of his coat–which was unbuttoned, as always, to hide his face in the lapel. “Feelings, and stuff.”

“Say ‘like’ one more time and I’m dumping my noodles on your head,” Kanda promised. “And also, let me reiterate: I don’t care.”

Yuu,” Alma whined again, beating on his friend’s arm. “You are so mean!”

“Alma? You alright over there?” He heard come from behind him. It must have been the angel’s choir with how beautiful they sounded. He turned slowly and beamed at the newcomer.

“Y/N!” He sang. “Everything’s a-okay! Yuu’s just being a jerk, like usual!” He elbowed Kanda in the ribs, who in turn shoved him–not hard enough to knock him off the bench, but enough to push him away. You laughed softly at the exchange.

“You can come eat with me, if you want,” you offered. A soft dusting of rose colored his cheeks and he scratched the side of his face, embarrassed.

“Thank you! But if I leave, Yuu’ll be all alone. Oh! I mean, Kanda. You won’t be alone, because I’d be with you,” he rambled off. He cleared his throat. “I’ll just stay here, but really, thanks for the offer!”

“Well, okay, if you say so. See you later, Alma, Kanda.” You nodded at each before leaving with your tray of food. Alma sighed dreamily and watched you leave, elbows on the table and his chin sinking into his hands.

“Gross,” Kanda grumbled at his friend.
