I’m sure Claire knows her daughter is with Duncan because of course she knows. So imagine tries to be a matchmaker for her, to see if they really love each other but (Y/n) is so oblivious like the girl is so smart but can’t notice when someone is flirting with her and Duncan keeps trying to protect her from them. And let’s be honest Claire would laugh in secret at Duncan’s actions like it’s so obvious what he’s trying to do but sweet (Y/n) has no idea of what is happening.
