a/n: here you go! i hope that this is alright anon!
You heard the whisper of danger in the breeze that ruffled your hair, making it dance before a loud clap was heard, followed by a searing pain and the world crashing down around you. Everything hurt, every fiber of your being felt as if it was on fire, and you couldn’t even scream, biting your lip you curled into yourself.
The forest buzzing with life, whispers flowing through the tree’s, carrying word on the wind and through the roots of the forest. The danger is here, the danger has come to the safety of the preserve, and the Robin was hurt. The wind howled with rage before quieting down, but the words hammered away at your skull.
‘THOSE WHO HURT THE ROBIN PERISH.’
Gritting your teeth, you glared at your attackers. Hunters, specifically for monsters rather than animals, a pair of boots stopped inches away from your nose while they spoke.
“This place is slacking, letting a human run it! Ha, that’s why it’s so easy to get in here. Find the snake’s, there are reports that two big’s live here, well make a fortune catching them.”
Everything started becoming dark, you bit your bottom lip, reaching out with a shaky hand to touch one of the boots in front of you, a loud crashing and screamed were all you heard after placing your hand on the boot then everything faded to black.
You woke up to the sound of crying, a soft voice, hands roaming your face and something rocking your body. Groaning you opened your eyes, hearing a gasp and your face being cradled in warm familiar hands.
Gabe, those big brown eyes wet and full of concern for you. He leaned down, nuzzling your nose before placing his forehead against yours, just gazing into your eyes, moving his hands to softly touch your sides, roaming your body he kissed you. Once, twice, three times and many more you lost count, just accepting his worry and kissing away the tears that started to fall.
“Safe, safe. So happy.” Gabe’s words all blended together, making it difficult to understand, but he’s happy that you’re alive, your safe and here with him.
He wouldn’t let you be hurt again. He would kill any number of humans, or monsters to keep you safe. Let their corpses bloat and rot in the sun, let the forest take them into its roots and grind them down into dust.
