“No, no, come back!” He groaned as he pulled you back into his lap.
You laugh at how ridiculously needy he’s been since he started with the wine, “I’m just going to get another drink. I’ll be right back”
“Make someone else go,” he said, placing a kiss to your shoulder.
You turn in his arms to get a better look at your needy boy. Usually, you wouldn’t be so obviously together in these settings but you and Duncan had cultivated a tight group of friends who knew better than to say anything. It was a safe space to be young and free and in love. You both had to admit, it was nice not to always be holed up in your houses.
When you moved to put your arm around his shoulders, he took the opportunity to lean his head against your chest as his arms pulled you in closer.
“Why are you like this?” You joke as you card your fingers through his hair.
He sighs in contentment, soberingly honest in his response, “You’re so warm and soft. I want you near me always.”
