“Lady (y/n), please wake up.”, a deep and somehow familiar voice quietly said, while you could hear curtains being opened somewhere in the room you were currently in.
You opened your eyes to a ceiling completely unbeknownst to you. Looking down at your chest you also realized you were wearing some sort of white night gown with a light blue ribbon around the shoulders that secured it to you. The bedsheets of the bed you were in smelled of lavender, fitting for the pastel purple colour they had.
As you were analyzing your surroundings, about to check out the whole room, some gloved hands pulled away the bed sheets from your body. Your eyes wandered in the direction of said hands revealing a butler with black hair and a black attire. He must be the one that you heard when you woke up. Not only his voice was familiar to you, but also that face with the glasses.
“Claude?”, you whispered, more to yourself than to the butler. Though he heard it anyways.
“At your service, my lady.”, he bowed.
You were quite surprised at the sight of him. Actually, you were surprised at the position you were in. How did you get there and why did it not feel right?
Aside from all the thoughts, you decided to act proper to the situation. So you swung your body to the end of the bed and smiled at Claude,
“I would like to get dressed and have some tea.”
The butler turned around and handed you a cup of tea from the nightstand next to the bed. You could’ve sworn it wasn’t there before. Claude walked to the closet of the room and opened it, pulling out a blue dress. The colour reminded you of someone, though you could not think of who.
“Since Hannah is in town as of right now and the triplets are on a mission, I will have to dress you.”, he laid the dress on the bed and pulled a blindfold out of his suit.
“Why are you carrying a blindfold around and what kind of mission are the triplets on?”, you set the empty tea cup back on the nightstand. The tea was Earl Grey, a preference of you. For some reason you enjoyed it, not minding the strong taste it had.
“Now now, a butler has his secrets, my lady.”, he winked at you, with his pointer finger in front of his mouth. “And the triplets mission is nothing for you to worry about.”
Not really satisfied with that answer, you stood up anyway. Claude pulled on the light blue ribbon, exposing your bare chest. Although he couldn’t see anything, you still felt uncomfortable. He was really good without his eyes, as he managed to put on a corset and the dress without making the smallest mistake.
Claude also did your hair, having taken the blindfold off prior to that. The blue ribbon from the night gown was reused as a light blue ribbon for your hair.
Suddenly the door busted open,
“CLAUDE! How is my fiancée doing?”, you also recognized who this was. Alois Trancy, who was apparently your fiancé, stood in the doorframe. His mouth was agape in awe as he saw you. “(y/n), you look stunning.”
“Thank you, C—”, you stopped yourself. The image in front of you got slightly blurry and you seemed to lose your balance, so you stumbled against the bed backwards. You put your hands on your head and thought of his name. He was standing right in front of you; you just knew his name! What was he called again?
Pictures of a boy with navy blue hair and an eye patch flooded your mind. It wasn’t clear and you couldn’t make anything but the colours and the eyepatch out, but something about those pictures gave you a weird feeling.
“Excuse me, I was going to say ‘See you at breakfast’, but my head started to throb.”, you grinned towards Alois. That was his name. The blond boy gave you a grin in return as he turned around and left. The butler was nowhere to be seen anymore.
Still unsure of how you got to that place, you tried to find its dinning hall. While walking around you heard Claude’s voice yelling from out of a room with a slightly opened door. It seemed to be the room for calling people, because when you peeked in, it was rather dark but you could figure out the butler with a telephone in his hand.
“You idiots! You really are good for nothing.”, Claude yelled and slammed the telephone.
“What are you doing, doll face?”, Alois grabbed your waist from behind and nuzzled into the back of your neck.
“I have never seen a telephone like that, so I was curious.”, you looked down at his hands which were now wrapped around your stomach area. You noticed his red ring so you looked at your own hands to search for your engagement ring, though with no success. “Huh? Are you from the past? Or perhaps from the future?”, Alois laughed.
Once again, his hands started to blur and you could barely stay on your feet. Thankfully, because Alois was holding you, you didn’t fall over. The last two sentences repeated in your head but it was not his voice. It was someone you definitely heard before; that laugh and that voice.
“Are you ok, (y/n)?”, Alois panicked and turned you around to face him. By now you could stand on your feet by yourself again. “Yes, my head is just trying to kill me today.”, you shrugged it off and so did he.
With Alois’ guidance, you walked to the dinning hall together. Earlier, Claude must’ve not seen you or he at least pretended that he didn’t. You couldn’t see his reaction. He was already gone when you two started walking.
“Hannah!”, the blond next to you yelled. The maid that you came across in the hallway just then, was covered in blood. Instead of worrying, Alois just said,
“I can’t believe you are walking around like that! Get changed.”
“Umm, miss? What happened?”, you turned towards her, as she walked past you. “Back to hell with that butler.”, she mumbled under her breath, making you even more confused than you already were.
“Let us go, my lady.”, the Trancy boy grabbed your arm and continued walking linked with you.
Finally you arrived at your destination; the dinning hall. Alois and you both sat down and waited for the food. Funnily enough, the maid that was just covered in blood brought the food in. She was clean now though, somehow she managed to do it that fast. “Your food, my lady, your highness.”, she bowed and after that stood near you.
“Miss Hannah?”, you asked her after swallowing a piece of your food.
“Yes, my lady?”
“Where is Claude?”
“He is…”, she crossed her arms in front of her chest. “…handling two rats that he found.”
After finishing your food, you were sent to the game room, because Alois had to work in his study. Hannah escorted you there before locking the room. You didn’t think much of it. Walking over to a table with two chairs you sat down on one of them. The table had a game of chess on it.
While you were looking at each of the pieces, there was a knock on the window. You walked towards it and saw who you thought was Claude with his back turned to you. You opened the window and he jumped into the room, still not facing you.
“Claude, where…”, he turned around. It wasn’t Claude but another butler with a boy in his hands. He set him down and bowed in front of you. “(y/n)! Are you okay, darling?”, the boy ran towards you and engulfed you in a hug.
“Excuse me? Who are you exactly? And would you let me go?”, you shook the boy away. He looked at you with disbelief in his eye. He was wearing an eyepatch and his hair was navy blue. His body had the colours of the blurred person in the images you keep seeing.
You look at him with widened eyes. Where did you know him from? Unknowingly you started to tear up.
“Sebastian, tell me why she can’t remember me.”, he shook the butler whose name was apparently Sebastian. “SEBASTIAN!”, he got even more furious.
“C-Ciel?”, you sobbed and reached your hand out for him. With relief rushing through Ciel’s body, he took your hand in his and intertwined them.
Suddenly your head started to throb again. You shut your eyes and fell on your knees in pain. Images of you and Ciel together cleared up in your mind. It all hurt so much that you let out a scream of agony.
“NO! Claude! Hannah! Do something! Don’t let the Phantomhive boy get to her!”, Alois yelled and punched the door as it was still locked up. Sebastian started chuckling as he walked towards the door,
“I’m sorry, Lord Trancy, but Claude has been taken care of, as well as the triplets. Hannah came to the rescue but she is injured badly as well.”, Sebastian said through the door.
As you got up from the floor, the three of you didn’t hear a response from Alois. That was until Claude kicked open the door. So much for badly injured.
“(y/n)! Come here, away from that evil Phantomhive.”, the blond came into the room and held his arms open. You walked towards them and hugged him. Then you lift up your knee quickly which resulted in a kick in his crotch.
“Idiot. You kidnapped me and alternated my memories.”, you punched his stomach with all your might before giving him a final kick with your foot. He fell to the floor, angry,
“Claude don’t just stand around like that! Kill her! If I can’t take you from Ciel in that way, I’ll delete you off the earth!”
“Yes, your highness.”, the Trancy butler bowed and stared at you for a second before running in your direction.
“Sebastian! This is an order; protect (y/n)!”, Ciel stood in front of you when both of you were swept off your feet by Sebastian. “Let us go home, my lord.”
And so Sebastian threw you over his right shoulder and Ciel over his left before jumping out of the window. Thankfully Claude didn’t follow you as Sebastian ran you home.
When you arrived at the Phantomhive manor, Ciel dragged you to his study. He said he had something important to do.
“(y/n), I know we are engaged, but I think you and I both know that something is missing in our relationship.”, he worried you as his grip on your hands tightened.
Ciel took a deep breath and leaned forward until your lips touched his. You were quite shocked that he would behave like that, but it’s not like you didn’t enjoy it. He tilted his head even more and kissed you for some more seconds before needing to breathe and pulling away.
“Our first kiss.”, he lovingly stared at you.
But this sweet moment wasn’t meant to hold on, as the image of him started to blur again.
“N-no, it’s happening again, why?”, this time you felt no pain whatsoever. Well, apart from your heart aching at the sight of a stiff Ciel Phantomhive. It all went black from there.
“(y/n), come on, the lesson is over.”, your friend nudged you. You were sitting in your seat at school, the ending of a movie being projected onto the wall in front of you.
“Did I fall asleep during that movie?”, you asked your friend. She replied with,
“It didn’t look like that, you looked pretty interested in the film; I think you were just daydreaming though.”, she laughed.
“Damn…”, you grabbed your bag from the floor, frowning.
“Did you think about your fictional crushes again? Writing fanfiction in your head?”
“Sadly yes, in my head.”
“Woah, how surprising!”, your friend giggled, before adding,
“I thought that movie would’ve interested you, though. It was about the 19th century in Great Britain! You talk about that time in history all the time.”
“Oh, I was thinking about it, no, I was experiencing it.”, you wave your hand in front of your face.
“Come on, my lady.”, your friend bowed before you like a butler would, earning stares from people around. “Lunch is being prepared.”
“Ew, the school cuisine is very much displeasing.”, you say seriously in a British accent, before both of you start laughing out loud.
