Sick days: Alucard x Reader

“I told you, I’m fine.” The vampire said smugly, rooting through his mothers library for a couple things. “Why do you care so much-“

“Because if we’re going to be married and I’m living in this castle with you and your parents, I will be there for you when you need me.” You said, putting your foot down and grabbing his chin. You made him look at you and he was a little stunned honestly.

“Dear, I can’t even get sick.” He said with a smirk. “I’m a vampire.”

“You’re half vampire.” You warned, taking his hand. “ I’m worried about you.”

“Darling, you’re worried for nothing.”

Alucard leaned over the side of your shared bed, vomiting into a bucket that you were holding. His mother and father stood over his bed, holding each other and looking concerned.

“My boy…” Lisa said softly . “Adrian, would you like some water?”

“I-I can’t…” he said weakly, laying back in bed and taking in a deep breath. “I… I can’t do this…”

“So… you can’t get sick?” You said, a little too smug for Alucards liking. He sniffled, narrowing his eyes at you.

“Love, I can’t feel my throat and you want to be petty.”

“She has a right to.” His mother said quickly, moving to his bedside. “We saw this coming for a while.”

“Well can you blame him?” Dracula defended, looming over the bed. “He is a vampire.”

“He’s a sick vampire.” You said sweetly, kissing his forehead. He gave a light smile but felt a burning travel up his throat and he was back to going to the bucket. Lisa flinched, patting her boys back.

“We have to help him.”

———

You heard your name in a Whiny nasely voice and couldn’t help but sigh. You hurried to your bedroom, blowing your hands and trying to keep the bowl of soup from burning your hands.

As you rushed in Lisa rushed out and you put the bowl in his bedside table. Alucards eyes were droopy, almost lifeless.

“Darling….” he whined, “feed me..”

“You can’t be serious.” You complained, picking the spoon out of the bowl. He gave you those big puppy dog eyes, begging for attention just as his mother came back in holding more blankets.

“Okay, I got a couple of blankets for your chills, sweetie,” she said quickly, clearly winded from running. “Do you need me to tuck you in?” You spoon fed your betrothed and a little blush crossed his cheeks.

“You two are so good to me….” he said , holding back a cough in fear of losing his soup. “I love both of you so much….”

“We love you Adrian,” you said sweetly, giving him another spoonful of hot soup. “We want you to get better and well do whatever we have to.”

“I don’t deserve you,” he said, looking at you with a dreamy expression. “You make me feel like I’m 10 feet taller… and like I could take on the world.”

“That could also be the medication.” Lisa said playfully.

“…. that would explain the purple haze and little goblins…” he said, letting out a heavy sigh. Unfortunately he immediate felt the familiar burn and leaned over the bed once again.

Adrian’s Health turned around quickly with the love and care of his mother and betrothed. He was fit as a fiddle but… well.

You and Lisa laid in bed side by side, finding it hard to breath and whining to the vampires to take care of you. Drac was holding his hand on Lisa’s forehead, shaking his head.

“That’s a fever. You need to stay in bed.”

“Darling, you’re not feeling good,” Adrian started. “I’m so sorry. This is all my fault.”

“Yes, it is.” Dracula said simply, his wife too weak to scold him. “But it’s alright. Now come along son… we have debts to repay for the women who love and care for us.”
