ever think of even though Noctis has been in the spotlight since birth (especially since Regis was determined to capture EVERYTHING on camera and film), he’s just an awkward turtle during photoshoots? like maybe they need the Prince’s picture for a magazine cover and the professionals are trying so hard but he looks and feels ridiculous and Prom bursts out laughing when he sees the pics “Noct, I literally have pictures of you barely conscious and drooling that look better than these, h o w.”

I think it’s both cute and funny, and I can see it as absolutely canon, and I think that the reason of that would be that he’s socially awkward 😀

When Regis films or photographs him, lil Noct is with someone he trusts. He’s with papa! And papa makes him happy and makes him laugh and he’s good and nice, so baby Noct has no notion of what a camera is. All that he knows is that he loves dada and he’s getting his attention and that’s awesome and he’s happy, and so the photos and videos taken are so good because he’s all on natural!

And then when he grows and understands cameras, he’s still with dad so that’s fine, you know? Because it’s dad and dad is good, so he will and can smile naturally when Regis says “Look this way, Noct!”

But when it’s someone he doesn’t know….

And, okay, they’re being nice, and papa says they just want a photo and everything, but…hnnnng…Noct…can’t….He’s in this white room that’s new to him and that’s already intimidating enough, now he’s also in front of people he doesn’t know who are telling him what to do and why, I don’t wanna be here, I want to go home, I don’t feel safe hngfdngndhg, who the hell are all of you and why do you want a picture, dad, do something ;____;

And Noct feels intimidated and shy enough, then these people are asking him to take photos of him?? And Noct is just so, so, so, so shy, he gets so timid because hnnfngf, these strangers want photos of me but I’ll look silly and they’ll laugh, what do I do-

And it’s ironically that he fears to look silly that he ends up looking silly and awkward, ahahaha.

Poor Noct! How many magazines there must be with awkward photos of the lil prince. And there may be awkward photos of teen and adult Noct too! He may have grown out of his baby shyness, but he’s still a socially awkward potato and you want me to pose how wtf why I’ll just…smile? Eh…

Maybe Noct is used to being the spotlight but that doesb’t mean he likes it! Hahahah! Ah, this precious angel, I love him.
