He’s not getting angry or riled up, he’s just calmly and coldly stating it like saying the sky is blue. And honestly that’s the crudest way of indirectly telling someone “No, you’re an idiot”.

Because that’s what he’s saying, y’all. Gladio’s there being all smug and grins, and Ignis calmly corrects his words like the precious CRUDE husband that he is.
“What do you mean he didn’t promise? He said something along ‘I’m not saying I won’t do it’, so in some way that’s saying Yes, am I right?”

Gladio, leaning forward towards Noctis: “So?” he’s grinning all giddy. Noctis, laying his head on Prom’s shoulder: “So.. ?” Gladio: “So when do I finally get myself on cup noodles? you promised after my wedding-” Ignis “He did not promise, you demanded”
