I gotcha!” he nuzzles his face against Noct’s while smiling at his huffy little prince who wont stop glaring at Gladio. Who then, being an ass and a half just to get on Noct’s nerves, scoops Iggy up bridal style like he always does as soon as he exited the tent. Ignis is unfazed, used to it and just crosses one leg over the other and sips his ebony, definitely not smirking behind the can

It sounds like such a Prompto thing. I can hear him laughing lowly while reaching for Noct to pick him up with that “Aw, don’t worry, babe! I gotcha!”. IT’S SUCH A CUTE AND PRETTY MENTAL IMAGE, AAAAAH!!!!

Can we also stop to admire how Gladio picked Ignis up just because Prompto was carrying Noct and/or because Noct was glaring at him? Like, Gladio’s taking it personal against Nocts (in a friendly, brotherly way), AND THAT’S SUCH A GLADIO THING! HAhahahahahah! He doesn’t care Prompto’s carrying him, he just cares that Noctis is glaring at him with these eyes that say the typical “I goddamn hate you”, and Gladio can’t stand the fact that Noct got what he wanted anyway, so Gladio’s silly revenge is “Oh yeah? OH YEAH? WELL GUESS WHAT YOU’RE NOT SPECIAL, I CAN- THERE HE IS *scoops Iggy off the ground before even making eye contact or saying one good morning word* HAH BE ANGRIER PRINCESS.”

Like ??  It sounds like such an absurd (friendly )quarrel, WHICH IS PRECISELY THE KIND THAT GLADIO AND NOCT WOULD HAVE HAHAHAHA

Ignis not even reacting to that because this is SO USUAL, that Gladio carries him, ohmygod, hahahaha. CANON I said! Like Ignis can suddenly see the floor go away of his feet but honestly it’s not startling by this point, Gladiolus has been picking him up in arms at random moments for like 10 years by now, Ignis not only is not amused, he also doesn’t even react by this point

There goes Prompto running away in this attempt to take Gladio out of Noct’s sight range, but Gladio mistakes it by a running competition, SO THERE GO THE TWO…FOUR OF THEM. Gladio and Prompto running from camp with no set direction or goal, each carrying with their respective love interest. Noctis is hugged to Prompto’s neck and cheering on him while glaring at Gladio. Ignis, on his part, is still leg crossed, can of Ebony in a hand and his notebook in the other while he calmly reviews it. That is, until he hears Noct say something (harmlessly) mean about Gladio, so Ignis just BOYFRIEND MODE ACTIVATE and he shoves his notebook back in his pocket and STARTS CHEERING EVEN MORE LOUDLY THAN NOCT TO GIVE THAT BEHEMOTH OF AN AMICITIA THE BOOST THAT HE NEEDS.

And these, people, are the people who are supposed to run an entire kingdom on their own. 

Prompto won just because he accidentally made Gladio slip on mud and fall into a pond while Prompto kept running and laughing.
