McCree
- He’s not a fan of winter, even though he runs hot he finds he does better in summer months
- So when the snow started falling he cursed and ducked into the first place he saw
- Which happened to be the cafe where you were studying
- You immediately noticed him, as he was dressed rather strangely
- He ordered something hot, not really caring what it was and sat down at a table near yours
- You tried to ignore him but each time you chanced a look at him he was staring right at you
- He would look away quickly as if he hadn’t been staring and you wonder if the red on his cheeks was from the cold or something else
- Eventually you looked directly at him and quirked an eyebrow, “Can I help you?”
- He cleared his throat and came over to your table, sitting down opposite you
- “Don’t take this the wrong way, darlin’, but you’re just about the prettiest sight I ever seen.”
- Well that was forward, but his accent was so cute
- The two of you talked while snow fell outside, accumulating on the sidewalks
- He was surprisingly interested in what you were studying, asking questions about your field and why you wanted to go into it
- He watched your eyes light up when you talked about your dream job, the smile on your face that he was sure you didn’t even notice
- And then you turned your head and looked at the snow, the sunset lighting you up in an orange glow
- And Jesse McCree fell
Genji
- Genji came to this cafe often
- With Overwatch stationed nearby it was a convenient place to stop by and grab something for either himself or the team
- But something was different today
- There was a new waitress. You
- He immediately found you attractive but he wasn’t the type to flirt so easily now
- He ordered and waited patiently at one of the tables
- You bustled by and in your haste tripped over your own feet, the drinks in your hands spilling all over the table
- Your face flushed red and you began apologizing profusely
- He was quick to tell you that there was no harm done
- He gets his new order and leaves but returns later that evening after mulling it over
- “Welcome back! Can I help you?” you chirp, smiling brightly at him
- He feels his heart stutter in his chest and rethinks what he came here for. But in the end…
- “I was actually wondering if you maybe wanted to go out with me sometime?”
- He expects you to shut him down, but your eyes light up and you agree readily
- Genji’s not sure he believes in love in first sight. But if he does. He found it with you
Hanzo
- The first thing he noticed about you was your colorful vocabulary
- You cursed as you came in from the veritable blizzard outside
- He quirked an eyebrow at you as you made eye contact and you smiled sheepishly
- “There’s snow like….everywhere.” you say, exasperatedly gesturing to yourself and then outside
- “Yes, I see that.” he says, a hint of amusement in his voice. “Can I offer to buy you something to warm you up, then?” he tilts his head inquisitively.
- He’s hot. Like really hot. For a split second you think about saying he could warm you up, but catch yourself just before it slips out.
- “That would be nice, thank you.”
- You sit and enjoy a nice hot cup of something with him
- He finds you amusing and you appreciate his dry humor
- He doesn’t get attached to people, he’s trained himself not to
- But you feel like a burst of color in a colorblind world
- He asks you if you enjoyed your drink and you wrinkle your nose, “God no, I hate coffee. I’m not even sure why I ordered it.”
- And he’s not sure why, but that sentence alone makes his heart thump painfully in his chest
- He grins at you, “I hate coffee too. I much prefer tea.”
- You make a noise of profound agreement and he decides he’s doomed to fail at keeping you out of his heart. You’re burrowed there too deeply already
