Notes: This is set in season 13 when jack was still new to the world. Its fluffy and adorable.
You were laying in your bed half asleep as a movie played on your tv. A quiet knock sounded on the other side of your door, and you mumbled a quiet,“ come in,” without asking who it was.
Jack slowly opened the door and peeked his head in.
“You awake?” He asked politely.
“Mhm,” you hummed.
Jack gave you a soft smile and pushed the door open more. He stepped into your room with an armload of children’s books.
“Whatcha doing Jack?” You asked as he came and sat next to you.
“Well, since I’m not very old yet, and dont know much, I was wondering if you could read me some stories I found?” He said.
You smiled softly and sat up. “I would love to.” You always admired how adorable and innocent he was. The thought of reading him a story made your heart swell. You absolutely loved Jack, even though he wasn’t very old, and you didn’t know him very well.
He returned the smile and gave you the pile of books. Jack then climbed over you and settled himself into the bed, under your blankets.
You looked at the book at the top of the stack. It was one if your childhood favorites, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie by Laura Numeroff. You smiled and turned to Jack. “Wanna read this first?”
He nodded happily. So, you settled in next to him and started the book. Both of you laid on your backs, heads on the pillows, and the book above your heads. About half way through the book, Jack rested his head on your shoulder as he cuddled into your side.
You read about three more books, until Jack finally fell asleep. You gently put the book on your nightstand, and turned out the lights. You kissed Jack upon the head before snuggling into his warmth, and falling asleep next to him.
