But then Bruce points out that the message said the oxygen was going to run out the day after. The metadata shows the message was recorded 2 weeks before they found him.
They ask. He deflects.
They keep asking. He keeps deflecting.
No one can know.
It’s better this way.
I just got an idea and I absolutely hate it. What if Tony saves himself. Not entirely from space, but from the lack of oxygen. Lack of food and water. What if this time, just like in that cave, he needs to alter his body to survive? What if he asked Nebula to help him with it? What if he recorded the message before doing it. In case it fails and he doesn’t wake up. In case he loses the one thing he loves the most about himself. His humanity.
