That was his rebellious phase. He thought he could act all cocky and tough but like, the second you called him on it or put your hand around his throat or tugged his hair, he would have snapped back into sub mode SO fast.
And don’t even get me started on bratty michael like specifically hawthorne era he had such a cocky attitude because he was just dying for someone to call him out on it. He’d love to be teasing you, maybe fingering you, putting on this dom persona and purposely getting on your nerves, until you just snap and make him beg for you like he’s never begged before. You could just shove him to his knees and he’d immediately start apologizing and looking up at you with big eyes while you smirk
