Can I have a soulmate au with either Steve, Bucky, or Peter Parker 💕💕💕 (I’m a complete sucker for soulmate aus)

scrumptious-delusion:

aren’t we all suckers for soulmate aus

  • Everyone has a hand print somewhere on their body – it’s exactly where their soulmate will touch them for the first time.
  • Your hand print is smack-dab in the middle of your stomach. It’s horizontal, palm starting on your right side, fingers stretching out to your left side.
  • You had tried to envision just what situation would cause such a gesture. Someone placing a hand on your stomach seemed a tad weird, especially if it was going to be someone you’ve never met before.
  • Like most people you couldn’t wait for the day you met your soulmate.
  • When your friends had begun to find theirs, it had caused your excitement to escalate at the thought of you being the next lucky one.
  • However, just yesterday, the last of your single friends had found their soulmate, calling you and practically yelling the news at you in happiness.
  • You’d gone to bed that night sad and woken up the same.
  • Though this sadness soon turned to frustration when you realised that you had no milk, having forgotten to buy some yesterday.
  • It was bucketing down rain outside, and while you loved rainy days, it just made your mood worse.
  • After getting dressed in jeans and the comfiest jumper you owned, you went to get your umbrella.
  • You can’t find it.
  • Seems about right. You think bitterly
  • Huffing a sigh, you leave your apartment and start the trudge to the convenient store two blocks away.
  • Everything looks grey and bleary, with no person or car in sight, not that you can see that far ahead in the driving rain.
  • Your arms are folded in a pathetic attempt to keep warm and within a minute of walking along the sidewalk your hair is soaked, hanging in clumps.
  • Your wet jeans are a whole new level of uncomfortable but they had been the only long pants you owned, you sure as hell weren’t changing into shorts.
  • Gritting your teeth to stop your shivers, you hunch slightly, glaring at the ground as bitter thoughts plague your mind.
  • Lost in your head, you don’t notice that you’re about to cross a side street, or the car that’s about to come pulling out.
  • All you’re aware of is being jerked backwards as a car zooms past.
  • Reflexively, your right hand has grabbed the forearm of the person behind you, while your left grabbed their bicep – very large bicep – your mind absentmindedly notices.
  • Your back is flush against their chest, which is somehow warm.
  • ‘Oh my god’ you’re shaking from the cold and the realisation of what could have just happened ‘Thank you so much’
  • Twisting slightly and tilting your head up you lay eyes on the most handsome man you’ve ever seen.
  • Like you, he’s soaked, blonde hair sticking to his forehead and water trickles down, around his stunning blue eyes and to his parted lips. You realise he’s staring at your hands.
  • Looking down, you do a double take, not at your hands, but his.
  • His hand is right where your hand print is.
  • ‘Oh my god’ you repeat.
  • The stranger – your soulmate – seems to snap from his comatose state, dropping his arm and turning you to face him.
  • ‘Are you okay?’
  • Worried hands hover over your shoulders and face as he scans you.
  • Love is blooming through you as you take in his face – then you’re hit with the realisation of just who is standing in front of you.
  • ‘I’m fine thanks to you, Captain’
  • A small smile tugs at his lips, before he takes a deep breath and asks ‘Are you…Did I?’
  • Reaching down, you grip the bottom of your jumper and pull it up so the hand print is visible to him.
  • The blue, short sleeved shirt he’s wearing shows the two hand prints on his right arm clearly, exactly where you had grabbed him.
  • ‘We’re soulmates’ you confirm softly.
  • The happiest grin stretches across his gorgeous face and you find yourself copying the gesture, letting go of your jumper as Steve steps forwards and wraps his arms around your waist, placing his forehead against yours.
  • ‘I’ve been waiting on you a long time sweetheart.’
