• Steve’s parents don’t know he’s dating you, the daughter of the kingdom’s best baker. 
• Steve has kept you a secret – not in embarrassment, but in worry. He doesn’t know how they’ll react to your… lack of royalty. 
• Also, he wants to keep you to himself as long as possible – spend time with you without the whole kingdom watching. 
• Then one day, Steve’s parents tell him he has four months to find a wife.
• He’s given the deadline because his parents want him to ‘put himself out there’ and find his true love – unaware he’s already found it.
• Steve knows he doesn’t want anyone other than you, and so, without his parent’s permission – but with your father’s _{(Steve is a proper gentlemen after all)} he asks you to marry him.
• Of course you say YES.
• You’re sweating bullets when Steve takes you to the castle to introduce you as his fiancee to his parents.
• Steve keeps whispering reassurances in your ear
• ‘They’ll love you.’
  
• ‘Well if they don’t, it doesn’t matter because I do.’
• So there you are, standing in front of the King and Queen as Steve tells them everything.
• They’re stunned to say the least, looking at you both speechless. 
• Of course you both think it’s in anger.
• Then next thing you know
• ‘Why didn’t you tell us sooner?’
  
• ‘She’s gorgeous!’
  
• ‘We’re so happy for you both!’
• You and Steve are stunned and speechless now. 
• ‘You’re… you’re okay with this? Both of you?’ Steve eventually asks.
• ‘Of course! Why wouldn’t we be? We just wanted you happy!’
• Within an hour, the whole kingdom is buzzing in excitement with the news.
