He wasn’t sure how she would react to him asking her to help him out with the poor child but he was certain he couldn’t handle things by himself any longer. Eri needed a mother more than anything and as much as he was trying…he knew he needed her input.
The blue haired girl looked up at the blonde, noting his flustered demeanour before turning her eyes to the medium-sized apartment door in front of her. Her tiny hand clenched his; he said he’ll show her someone he cherished and someone who could help her.
Inhaling softly, the blonde eventually decided to enter, turning his key and clicking the door open “Babe, I’m home.” He called with a breathy tone, doing his best to maintain steady breathing.
“Hey babe, how was…” His girlfriend’s voice trailed off when seeing the little blue haired girl hiding behind her boyfriend’s trousers “Hello.” She gave the little one a warm smile, bending down to her level “Who might you be, pumpkin?”
The girl remained silent, much too anxious to ask, unsure of who this person is and what they want.
Mirio let out a chuckle, his breath escaping in one exhale as he kneeled down as well “It’s okay.” He ruffled the girl’s hair before turning to his partner “Her name’s Eri and I really would need your help with her.”
The woman did not hesitate for one second, extending her hands forward to encourage the little girl. She was patient, waiting until Eri decided to slowly walk into them. Hoisting her up in her arms, she chuckled “There’s a big girl, woah.”
Mirio felt his heart skip more than just a few beats, frozen in his position for a few minutes watching the woman he loved playing and making the little girl squeal with laughter.
Her soft lips on his cheek brought him back, Eri barely holding back her giggle when seeing his face redden from his neck upwards.
“You were daydreaming again,” the woman rolled her eyes, bouncing the girl in her arms “I was telling Eri that once we’ve had lunch we can go buy her some cute dresses and treat her to some ice-cream.”
The man practically jumped to his feet, lifting them both in his arms, laughing when hearing them squeal in surprise, twirling then around once before putting them down “That sounds absolutely perfect!” He sighed in content before gently taking Eri from her arms “Eri and I need to wash our hands first though, don’t we, Eri?”
The woman smiled in amusement when seeing the girl vigorously nodding, reaching up to kiss his cheek “Don’t mess around too much, I’ll set up the table.”
“I love you.” He whispered softly, the tips of his ears a deep red “So much.”
She chuckled, pushing on his large arm “Me too, you dork. Now get to washing.”
-He’s never seen anyone have to work like you do, and doesn’t really understand how it’s fair that you have to suffer so much. He’s not used to the real world, and is mildly horrified at how you’re treated.
Reiji:
-While he’s well aware of what people of your profession have to deal with, it does not sit well with him to see his caretaker forced to deal with such misery. Even though there’s little he can do, it clearly bothers him.
Ayato:
-He’s unfortunately likely to try to intervene and shout at anyone who picks on you, which is probably just going to get both of you in trouble. He can’t stand seeing you have to suffer, though, and can’t just sit still and watch.
Kanato:
-He doesn’t like the busy restaurant, and spends most of the day hiding in a corner with Teddy, whispering to the bear about how he wishes he could kill everyone in the building. It’s almost entirely because they’re mean to you.
Laito:
-It doesn’t sit well with him to see you dealing with all of that, and since he understands that there’s nothing he can do in the moment, he’s most likely to do something sweet like cook dinner for you when you get home.
Subaru:
-He’s as nervous as can be in a public place like a restaurant… and probably winds up snapping at anyone who treats you poorly. He has his temper even as a child, and does not like watching you be mistreated.
Ruki:
-Seeing you treated the way you are reminds him way too much of how he used to treat his servants, and he’s probably going to wind up having a panic attack over it. It distresses him horribly that you have to live this.
Kou:
-It’s probably one of the first times he’s seen such a busy restaurant, and he’s somewhere between overwhelmed and very unhappy that you’re suffering so much. He’ll cling to you miserably for the rest of the night at home.
Yuuma:
-It’s beyond frustrating to see you treated like that, and he too is probably going to shout at anyone who’s particularly mean or rude to you. There’s no way he’s gonna tolerate you getting picked on like this.
Azusa:
-He doesn’t understand why people are so mean to you, and probably winds up getting in the way and offering to be hurt instead. He doesn’t know or care about proper behavior, he just doesn’t want to see you hurt anymore.
Carla:
-His first thought is something rather rude about the serving class, but that’s quickly replaced by the fact that it’s you who’s suffering. He’s downright furious that people dare to treat you in such a way, especially in front of him.
Shin:
-He is going to bite anyone who mistreats you, and that is not an empty threat. You’ll have to do something to keep him under control, considering that he’s more than willing to get violent in order to “protect you”.
