Goro Akechi

• Poor  Akechi’s no stranger to complicated emotions; he is, however, completely clueless when it comes to love. At first, when he finds his chest feeling airy and sweet smiles twisting over his face when he thinks about you, he brushes it off as simple attraction. 
• Akechi needs time to come to term with his feelings. Even if he craves attention and love, he’s not ready to properly give or receive that without a lot of self-reflection. Naturally, he doesn’t have a lot of free time to examine his emotions, so what he’s really feeling stews on the back burner for a time while he focuses on other issues.
• The true realization he loves you hits him all at once one sunny afternoon while you two are biking around Tokyo. While you’re taking a break at an ice cream shop he looks at you, at the bright smile stretching over your face and the pink in your cheeks and the sun hitting your hair, his heart twists and the thought jumps unprompted in his head: I love you.
• At first Akechi’s absolutely panicked by his love for you. He lays awake at night, head flooded with questions. What’s going to happen to his plans for Shido? What if you find out about his crimes? God, does he even deserve to love and be loved? Akechi’s incredibly volatile while he’s wrestling with these issues. One minute he’s clingy, the next he’s isolating himself and won’t even answer your phone calls. He simply needs time to sort through all his thoughts and concerns; wait for him. Akechi will come around eventually.
• After a few tortured weeks, Akechi finally decides he can love you. Naturally, his top goal is Shido’s downfall; but if he plays his cards right, maybe, just maybe, he can have a happy life with you, too.
• While Akechi’s practically a spider in a web of his own complex schemes, he’s never really thought about life after Shido. He realizes that he doesn’t really want to plot that out, though; he just wants to experience life with you as it comes, making you happy however he can. Often, though, he fantasizes about an isolated little house by the seaside where he can just be with you forever.
• Akechi’s charming detective prince mask starts to drop around you. He hates it; he’s constantly paranoid that you’ll abandon him once you catch a glance of the darkness inside his heart. Something in him crumbles while you’re around, though, and little by little you get to see the true Akechi; flaws and all.
• Akechi’s addicted to saying ‘I love you’ and he’ll remind you at every opportunity. When you wake up in the morning he whispers it into your hair, when he’s on his lunch break at school he shoots you a quick text with the three little words and a heart emoji, whenever you have to say goodbye the phrase is tacked on behind. And, when you respond with an ‘I love you too’, Akechi thinks he could simply die from happiness.
• Your sweet Akechi is determined to be the best boyfriend alive. While he was certainly charming before, now that he knows he loves you, his suave pleasantness is off the charts. Little gifts, kisses pressed to your temples, and midnight walks along the pier happen often. Anyone would say Akechi spoils you, but to him, everything he does is just a way of saying thank you; thank you for the warmth you send blooming through his chest, thank you for being the first thought on his mind when he wakes up, and thank you, thank you, thank you for loving him back.
