No one asked for these but back in September right before my writers block episode, I wanted to write poly headcanons for Cloud X Reader X Tifa going back to school shopping with the kids. And… It’s way to late for that now. But I’m still in the mood to write for Cloud so here we are.(These take place after the movie).
How could I go wrong with cuddle headcanons? Ok so I’m just gonna take my favorite characters from different fandoms and write some cuddle headcanons for them.
It was well into the night and Midgard was as quiet as it could be save the crickets and the occasional vehicle that sped past. Other than that, nothing else could be heard.
The entire city was asleep… except for you. You were wide awake for you couldn’t sleep. The bed you were in felt so lonely. Laying on your back, you turn your head to the left to see the other half of the bed empty.
You sigh and divert your gaze up to the ceiling. You quite often spent nights sleeping alone. Cloud was almost always working late. You barely even saw him during daylight on some days.
You guessed work was a lot busier on some days than others. But still, you yearned to have his presence beside. To have his arms wrapped around you and the bliss feeling of just being with him.
This night marked the seventh night that he’s worked the late shifts. Sometimes, Marlene and Denzel would sneak in your room to keep you company. Those two were just too adorable for their own good.

Cloud Strife:
The first time you used a pick up line on him was the best
He stared at you, eyes wide in astonishment, and mouth open wide
His brow was furrowed cutely and he was blushing a little
With time he got used to it, but it still flustered him
Especially if you said it out of the blue and caught him by surprise
Cloud knew you did it deliberately either to make him blush or smile
And he found it oddly endearing, he appreciate it
You swear you saw him smiling at some of them
Especially the cutes ones
Like ‘is your daddy a baker? because you’re a cutie pie’
In fact, he actually turns to you from time to time and smiles
And your heart flutters and it’s so heartwarming to see him smile like that
Almost acknowledging the sweet gesture and thanking you
Sometimes he gets so embarrassed by your attempts
To the point that he pretends he didn’t hear you
Even if he suddenly forgets where he was walking to or what he was doing at the moment
Other times he blushes really hard
Through testing different ones (for science) you know the ones that make him blush the most are the somewhat dirty or blunt ones
You once told him ‘Did you sit in a pile of sugar? Cause you have a pretty sweet ass’ and his entire face turned red
He awkwardly cleared his throat and eyed you with the corner of his eye
Cloud wanted to say something to get over his embarrassment but couldn’t
Because what would he say to that? ‘Thank you’? ‘Stop it, Y/N?’
He won’t ever admit it, but he really enjoys hearing your pick up lines
Not only it’s the way you have to show your fondness and make him smile
But it’s also pure you, and Cloud just adores you the way you are
I don’t usually put gifs with headcanons, but I just wanted to add a cute surprised and slightly flustered Cloud because reasons ❤
Halloween again!!! So… I’d love preferences crossover with the “not childish” squad!!! Cloud, Sephiroth, Thor, Captain America and Kratos!!! Their s/o, being super childish, super excited about dressing up and do trick-or-treating, but aware of how “serious and not into it” is the guy and kinda scared of being judged by him. Shyly asking, yet almost begging since they’re dying to go. Reactions, please!!!
Cloud:
Cloud is just broody and apathetic, he doesn’t feel like doing anything. It’s all so pointless in his opinion, he can’t be bothered to participate. Buuuut you love Halloween, which complicates things. He doesn’t want to let you go trick or treating alone, he wants to go with you and protect you. Just because he knows there’s a lot of people out in Halloween. But don’t even think about asking him to dress up (he might let you put some spooky make up on his face, but that’s it, and reluctantly) or share your excitment. But he smiles on the inside at your eagerness, despite not understanding it.
Sephiroth:
Honestly? He sees it as an opportunity to kind of create chaos. It’s so easy to scare people on Halloween, and even if he might not be too into the traditions and stuff, he does love the ambiance. The spooky enviroment and the creepy feeling to it all. Sephiroth might not part take in anything, but he kind of feels at home walking around the streets during Halloween with you.
Thor:
Thor has grown to be a more serious person, but Halloween is a good chance to cheer him up. At first he might be skeptical and a bit grumpy that you want him to go with you, but then he realizes Halloween is not all that bad. The costumes are cool, the decorations are awesome, and the candy is delicious! He might consider dressing up with you next year.
Steve:
Steve isn’t actually that bothered about it. He has a specific point of view about the world, so he thinks it’s nice that people are so cheery and get together for a festivity for a change. And even though he might not really participate in it himself and he’s a bit confused by it all, he enjoys the decorations and the costumes. But overall, he enjoys you having fun on Halloween.
Kratos:
He’s not amused by any of it, he thinks everything is stupid and that people shouldn’t waste their time with costumes and such. The only saving grace for him is seeing how happy it makes you. He might be grumpy and scowling all the time, but when he sees how your face lights up and how excited you are, he might crack a little smile.
If Cloud gets to the point where he’s actively seeking affection, look out. That means he’s starving
You know he’s in a cuddly mood when he’s following you around like a lost puppy. He won’t say he needs attention… but he needs attention
He likes to hide his face because he always gets blushy. He hides it in your lap, in your shoulder, in your back, in your neck. Wherever he possibly can
He likes having his back rubbed. If you rub his back, it usually puts him to sleep. He’ll wake up right away if you try to leave him
But if you have things you can’t avoid doing, he’ll just hold your hand the whole time. Even if you have to leave the house. He really doesn’t care
