Imagine you work in the hybrid rescue business. You receive a report for hybrid abuse and immediately rush to the home in question. The door opens and Genji immediately rushes out in order to escape his attacker who quickly followed suit—

But your partner tackled the abuser to the ground and cuffs them, while you comfort a distressed, injured, malnourished, Genji. You notice he has cybernetics so considering the way he looks, he probably feels even worse since his body can’t handle the same amount of stress average hybrids can. 

Genji immediately imprints on you as his rescuer and during the recovery process you have to frequently visit him at the hospital or else his stress goes back up. 

You decide to adopt him and take him home once he has been discharged. He follows you everywhere and depends on you for many things, but you do your best to help him recover from his mental trauma as best he can so he can start growing more independent again. 

Okay so nagas are great but for the Shimada brothers lets take it a step further. Dragons. Dragons who are very protective of their s/o and also hoard shiny crap.

  • They have such pretty hair, luxurious beards, long sparkly tails. This ain’t no Mabeline, they were born with it biatch.
  • They are extremely protective of you and snarl if anyone they don’t recognize gets too close.
  • They’ll even bicker with each other if they think the other is getting a little too handsy or flirty.
  • Yes, they hoard shiny things, but lately they’ve been handing shiny things over to you in order to win your favor. You’re getting your own hoard!
  • Whenever you go out, do you ever get the feeling you’re being watched? That’s them. They totally followed you even though you told them to stay home. They’re just making sure you’re safe. c:
  • Not to mention, bed time usually consists of cuddle piles since these reptilian boys are always craving warmth.

  • Genji loves receiving kisses from you. He’ll present his cheek for you whenever you come home so you can give him a smooch. It gets him purring really quick and it’s super cute. ❤
  • Being a cyborg, he’s not in dire need of clothing. However, he’ll sometimes borrow your shirts to wear to bed. He loves the smell.
  • He can be such a drama queen when you try to get him out of bed. He’ll roll around, whine, and maybe even pull you in for a snuggle so he won’t have to get up.
  • Genji may resort to tickling you with his tail for attention if necessary. Or he’ll do it just to make you giggle. He loves the way you laugh.

Could I please get some headcanons for how hybrid kitty!Genji would tell his owner he’s in love with her?

  • Very lowkey angst but I bet he was just blunt one day and said “I love you” but you took it like.. the familial I love you??? So you were just like “aww I love you too, sweet kitty.” and Genji was just… disappoint. Ears flat against head kind of sad. :c
  • So he starts saying it more but then it becomes a casual thing, which is the OPPOSITE of what Genji wants.
  • So he starts being far more affectionate than normal if that’s possible. 
  • He’ll take you out on dates and make plenty of mentions that it is in fact a date. (But you’re just like awww yeh a cute little date between a girl and her cat! how cute!!) ((basically friend-zoned but like… the hybrid pet way))
  • So okay he starts giving you gifts, but that’s not uncommon with cats since they will sometimes just bring home junk for their owner so—-
  • Time to break out the big guns. He gets you a promise ring and basically confesses to you marriage proposal style. He thanks you for the love you give him despite his handicap and lists all the things he loves about you. And of course he points out his frustration with your obliviousness but he loves you all the same.
  • You likely feel sooooo bad for unintentionally friend-zoning him but you gladly return his feelings, take the ring, and you are officially a couple! 
  • (Genji totally adds a “I’m Hers” pendant to his collar. Totally.)

Concept: Wolf!Hanzo and Shiba!Genji probably handle their heats the same way despite being (somewhat) different animals. Never be surprised when dirty laundry goes missing (they absolutely adore your scent), unexplained half way dried ~messes~ are to be found around your room (or where ever you spend most of your time) or you find you’re looking at an absurd amount of dick from your adopted hybrid.

I’d say Hanzo is far more secretive and subtle about it due to shame. He wishes he had more control over his instinctive urges so he wouldn’t sully you with his lust. Perhaps that is the curse that comes with being a hybrid of a more feral animal, versus Genji’s more domestic breed. But yes Hanzo is very secretive and if you ask him about these mysterious happenings he’ll claim to have no idea what you’re talking about. Maybe he even watches you sleep through the crack in your door, looking at you with such need, internally debating whether to make a move or not.

Genji is more assertive and makes it known that he wants some attention. He’s so used to just rolling over, being cute, and getting what he wants so no need to change tactics now. On the first day his heat strikes he’l just be up front and let you know. Whether you want to sleep with him or not is totally up to you, he respects that. But… that doesn’t mean he’s above stealing your clothes and jerking off in your bed as he relishes in your sweet scent. I bet if you walked in on him jerking off he’d look you in the eye and finish while you watch. 👀
