* Gren is a mess when he realizes he likes you

* He can’t exactly pinpoint when he started to fall for you but man is he screwed

* He could however tell you exactly when he realized he loved you

* You and him were walking arm and arm at the border

* And then a group of wounded soldiers were brought back

* You immediately tied up your hair and ran to help

* He stood there for a second staring at you before he jumped to work as well

* Yeah. He loves how much you care for others

* You always have the best intentions.

* He could talk forever about what he loves about you

* There are times when he just stares at you

* You’ll look over and he hides his pink face and pretends that he wasn’t looking at all

* Sometime you’ll jump on him to try and scare him

* He’ll always end up falling on his butt

* He looks up at you and sees your apologetic face and couldn’t dream of being mad at you

* Instead his face goes bright red at your chuckles and he rubs the back of his neck

* When you two hang out and you walk arm and arm like you normally do he tries his best not to fall all over himself

* He also has a habit of constantly being red in the face around you

* That led to a problem when you thought he was sick because he was always red in the face around you

* You felt his forehead and his ears got red

* And when you thought his face was hot because he was sick

* You gave him a kiss on the forehead and walked him to his tent

* You made him rest and he was too awkward to tell him that he wasn’t really sick

* When you left he practically had a mental breakdown because of your close contact and the kiss

* Yeah, this man is lovesick

* When he couldn’t sleep, he went on a walk

* Coincidentally, probably because fate wanted to mess with him, you were out there too

* He almost noped right out of that situation

* But then you called out to him and he couldn’t leave

* And gosh were you equally as wonderful when you were half asleep

* Turns out you were outside because you had a nightmare

* You practically fell into him for comfort

* He felt you shaking and all he wanted to do was take away your fear

* He stayed with you for the rest of the night

* He didn’t really care that he didn’t end up sleeping

* You were much more important

* Man was he in love with you

• he’s a nervous wreck
• he loves you so much and doesn’t want to mess up this very important first date
• gren has everything planned out but he’s still anxious bc what if something goes wrong? what if you didn’t like it?
• he dressed up in his nicest clothes and made sure he smelled good and waited for you
• gren was ready nearly an hour before the time you agreed on meeting
• he couldn’t help it; he definitely didn’t want to be late to his date
• it was almost time for you to show up at the castle’s front where gren was waiting
• you emerged from the castle’s entrance with an elegant outfit and gren’s jaw drops
• “(y/n), you look a-amazing.”
• you’re flattered by his words and give him a kiss on the cheek
• “you’re not so bad yourself. alright, take me to this surprise date.”
• gren nodded and took you on a stroll into the woods while chatting and effectively relieving the tension
• finally the two of you came to a clearing in the forest
• there you saw the most stunning lake sparkling in the moonlight surrounded by willow trees kissing the banks
• on the ground lay a blanket and a picnic basket
• “i-i know it’s pretty simple and i wish i could do more but i h-hope you like it..” he murmured, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly
