“And now for the first dance…”

You only have eyes for Haurchefant as he leads you out into the middle of the dance floor. Surrounded by friends and family as the first notes of the song you’d chosen for your first dance fill the air.

Haurchefant gazes back at you adoringly, his heart in his eyes and on his lips as he smiles at you like you hung the moon.

His lips part as he pulls you closer still, his lips to your cheek as he hums along to the melody. His nose brushing over your cheek. His hands cradling the dip of your back, and holding steady between your shoulders as he dips you.

“I love you,” You whisper to him softly.

Haurchefant’s smile could make flowers bloom. “I love you. Marry me.”

You laugh. “You’ve asked me every day up until now, Haurchefant. And besides, I just did. I already said I do, so you’ll not get rid of me now.”

Haurchefant grins. “I thought I’d ask just one more time. This is the happiest moment of my life so far.”

You smile as he dips you again, stealing a kiss as your guests clap and laugh. Flower petals and champagne fill the air to fall down around you. It was magical.

“So far?” You tease, quirking a brow playfully as Haurchefant twirls you away and then pulls you back into his arms.

Haurchefant strokes a hand over your cheek, brushing your lower lip with his thumb. “I want every day to be the happiest we’ve ever been, my love. We’re married now.”

“Every day with you is the happiest I’ve ever been.”

Haurchefant makes sweet sound as the song comes to a close, pulling you in just to hold you. His lips seek yours, cradling your face in his hands.

“I love you,” you sigh.

Haurchefant smiles. “I love you more.”

Cheeky. “I love you most.”

Haurchefant laughs. “I’ll prove my love every day until the world ends!”

Another song starts. You tug him close by the tie, smiling fondly, “Dance with me, husband-mine.”

“Of course, dear heart.”
