This is my first time writing for him !!! I’m excited and nervous.

• They found the box tucked away; it lay nuzzled behind the dresser and the door, the moderately thin box laying on its side to take up less room. The box, tied with a single strand of twine was never meant to be found and was only kept by the forgemaster for the soul purpose of preserving the images of pets long lost to time.
• The photos were mostly of his reanimated pets alone, however, there were a few pictures of Hector himself. Normally an animal accompanied him in these photos, the young boy revealing his inner caring and warmth as he looked at the golden, reanimated dog that sat in his lap.
• The emotion dancing in his eyes were just the same as that his partner would see in him when he tended to his current pets.
• If Hector was to notice that the box was missing, he wouldn’t be angry. He would do his best to not acknowledge it was gone, hopeing that he would not be confronted by his SO.
• If he was confronted, he wouldn’t say much. He wouldn’t see a reason to explain the images; his partner already knew of his past just as they knew that these pets were all he had as company.
• Hector would not attempt to hide the box after that, he didn’t really mind that they found it, as long as they respected his reason for keeping it.

While it wasn’t an unspoken rule to not intervene during the times he forged, you had grown rather keen to the shift in the air and his tone when you’d appear. His disgruntlement was indubitable, his discontent with you was further distinct than that. To keep the odds favorable for you both, though mostly yourself, you often found your way out of the humble hut when the ring of his hammer became too suffocating, the vibrations off the walls seemed to make the space that much smaller.

You wandered for hours through the thickets, the groves, and the parts of the forest where light still scattered through the canopies of rustling leaves. It had become habitual for your legs to bring you to the riverside by the end, however.

It was where you had met for the first time, fished from the turbulent waves midst the floods of the rainy season. When you had been hoisted to land, recalling how you had reveled in the sensation of mud caking beneath your nails as you grasped the overgrown grasp, you saw him.

• When Vlad walks out of that room holding his bundle of joy Hector just stops
• He’s marveling at it flexing it’s tiny hands and little groaning
• He wanted to take care of it for the rest of his life

The first time she had met Hector was when her father had taken both her and her twin brother on a visit; he had said he met this talented scholar during his travels.

She wasn’t necessarily pleased to go visit, what she thought would be, an old wrinkly man. When the door to the dark cottage opened to reveal a boy, roughly about her age, she was interested.

“Oh?” She let out a surprised sound when feeling something furry brush up against her foot “What an adorable cat!” She squealed, causing her brother to roll his eyes, watching her lift the injured animal in her arms and pet it “Shouldn’t she be dead with these wounds?”

Looking at the man called Hector, she saw him scratch the back of his head with a smile “That’s…kind of what I do.”

Her brother let out a sigh “He’s a forgemaster, idiot.” He whispered sharply “You would have known that if you listened to father rather than prance about the field.”

“Adrian.” His father, naturally, overhead and drew his boy’s attention “Be nice to your sister.”

“Yea, Adrian.” The girl stuck out her tongue accompanied by a shit-eating grin all the while toying with the pet in her arms only to be met with the middle finger when their father turned around.

Hector was enthralled by her energy, unable to take his eyes off her as she went around with blatant curiosity, enjoying the company of the various pets.

“To what do I owe the pleasure, my Lord?” The silver haired boy offered the count and his disgruntled looking son a seat all the while keeping an eye on the frolicking girl “Can I help you with anything?”

The black haired man heaved a long sigh, leaning his hand onto the wooden table while rubbing at his temples in a tired gesture “The humans have taken my wife, Hector,” he began “Burned her at the stake.”

The blonde vampire had his fist clenched while his sister went quiet; the sorrow-filled air wrapped around the forgemaster, he could feel it press down on him like no weight ever has.

“I’m really sorry to hear,” he began, glancing to and from the three of them before having his eyes fixed on the trembling lips of the girl who only a minute ago was happily smiling.

“My children have said the castle feels lonely,” the man began “And so, in an attempt to secure their happiness, I’ve come to you in search of pets.”

Hector quirked his brow “Pets?” He couldn’t believe his ears, the ruler of vampires had come to ask him for pets, he could barely hold back his laugh when seeing the solemn nod. Standing to his feet, he passed by the girl who was rubbing the tummy of a grey little pug “She’s obviously gotten quite attached to my little dog,” he chuckled before bending down to lift him into his arms.

• over time the two of you had grown very close and without even noticing, it wasn’t long before you held each other in warm embraces and whispered comforting words of affection to one another
• dracula was seemingly oblivious to this, thinking the two of you were merely good friends and actually being thankful to Hector that he got you to develop a passion in something constructive
• that was until you were late coming home one evening and he was getting worried, not wanting to lose any more of his family
• using his mirror, he decided to look up your location, catching you and your beloved in an embrace

“I need to get home,” she whispered and he pressed a kiss to her forehead with a forlorn look, grimacing at the thought of her leaving.

“Will you return soon, beloved?” He inquired and she nodded, barely managing to pull herself from his arms, not wanting to leave more than he did.
