could you imagine what hela, thor, and loki would’ve been like without odin’s shitty parenting?
can you imagine exasperated big sister hela dragging her little brothers back home because “mother will have my head if she finds out about this I’m suppose to be babysitting you and you are suppose to be behaving” and them whining back “you’re such a tattle hela–ow hela that’s my ear”?? can you imagine thor roping the both of them into the weirdest adventures, randomly taking off with one of them struggling under his arm?? can you imagine loki trying hard to seem cool apart from them, but also be running to them if somebody so much as slights him??
frigga probably taught hela how to use throwing knives. hela probably taught loki. thor whines because hela can actually pick up his hammer and for awhile during their childhood, she’s taller than him so she holds it over his head to watch him jump for it. loki likes dressing up like hela– he secretly finds her cool but, really, he totally denies it all the time because that’s what little brothers do. hela is being trained for the throne, so loki and thor sneak her food and mead during late nights learning the ins and outs of the kingdom. their parents probably couldn’t control thor and loki, but hela can. hela probably covers for them too, sitting by the bifrost with heimdall to personally see them back and drag them to the castle by the ear for good measure.
