-He’s far too shy for any PDA, so much that Zia doesn’t believe you’re actually dating for months.
-It’s a bit too tempting not to give him a quick smooch to see him flustered though.
-Which leads to a whole new side of teasing from Zia.
-Defending him from her teasing as well, he doesn’t take it to heart but likes the little confidence boost when you tell him his work is important.
-Going with to the island to help find dinosaurs, and to give him some moral support.
Telling Franklin you’ll protect him from the T-Rex when he gets panicky about it.
-Trying to calm him down on the plane, distracting him with arguments about horse riding.
-Carrying a second pair of glasses for him at all times because he can be a klutz on occasion.
Franklin near kissing your feet for it once you’re reunited because he couldn’t see any of the terrifying shit that’s been after him all day.
-Rolling your eyes when he says he’s done with dinosaurs, you know he loves them. Just not the hand-on parts.
-Telling him it was badass when he stabbed Wu with the sedative.
-He calmed down a smidge and puffed out his chest, before a dinosaur ran past and he shrieked.
-Being part of the dinosaur protection group with her.
-It’s hectic and crowded but she always smiles a little when she looks over and sees you at a desk.
-Reassuring her your hardest that they wont go extinct, after tiring days of trying to gain support with little to no progress sometimes it’s hard for her not to breakdown.
-You try and comfort her though, she appreciates it.
-Telling her that her profession is not stupid. (Which she knows, but it’s nice to hear when so many people talk down on her when she tells them.)
-Listening about her day when you weren’t at the group with her, and her jabs about what Franklin did this time.
-Zia isn’t overly affection, quick kisses and hugs throughout the day are more her style.
-And some slightly heavier PDA when Franklin’s around since he gets uncomfortable and can’t really retaliate.
-She likes laying in your arms in the evening though, head on your shoulder or chest while you play with her hair and talk being her second favorite pass time, only beat by showing up Franklin at one thing or another.
-And showing off to you as well.
-Though she isn’t big on PDA, heated make out sessions in closets and empty classrooms are a definite.
-Volunteering to go with her to Isla Nublar, and her saying you’re her necessary assistant.
-Which is also how she makes sure the men after Blue don’t shoot you, saying you’re her trained assistant and she needs another set of hands.
-Trying to conspire a way out while helping her with Blue.
-Always listening to her when she starts rambling about dinosaurs, even if you aren’t as interested in them as her.
-She apologizes when she notices she’s been talking for 10 minutes, but you don’t mind and tell her you think it’s cute.
-Being relieved once they’re set free.
-Holding her on the way back, it’s been a long night. “Well, your degree definitely won’t go to waste now, right?”
-She smacks your arm but still laughs at your dumb grin.
-You probably met Owen because you would check on the baby raptors as well, and monitor their health.
-He heard someone was coming to see how the girls were growing and came in to see you carefully holding baby Blue and checking her heart rate.
-Was going to join you with the girls and turn on the flirting charm when he noticed just how gentle you were with the raptors, no one else even likes being near them as babies.
-Got a little awkward but brushed it off.
-He had seen you around the park before and thought you were hot, but there hadn’t been any reason for him to have met you before.
-Cracks a joke about you trying to steal his job.
-Tries showing off all his raptor training when you come to see them, usually for everything to blow up in his face because the girls love seeing you and forget he’s there.
-He has a talk with them about making him look bad as soon as you leave.
-Is certain Blue laughed at him.
-‘Checking on their health’ only brings you by so often so Owen makes up excuses so you have to visit.
-“Charlie had a cough this morning, I swear it.”
-“Owen that’s the third cough that’s suspiciously been gone by the time I got here this week, maybe she should see a specialist instead don’t you think?”
-Is secretly thrilled every time you stop by to ask about their progress.
-Gives you hands on raptor training tips because he is The Expert.
-Tried taping a ‘go on a date with me?’ sign to Blue 5 times but Charlie or Echo always ate it.
-You finally saw one of his notes when Delta was rifling through his duffle bag during you visit and tossed out a few pre-written for his next attempt signs.
-He then tried to say they weren’t his but finally fessed up when you clearly saw through his bullshit and asked you out.
-Sometimes Owen stops by your work area on breaks or just passing by to just watch you interact with the dinosaurs for a few minutes.
-You always catch him though.
-“Decided to try training something easier Grady?”
-He really loves watching you with the dinosaurs though. You’re so caring and understand bonding with them.
-Either the raptors like you waaay more or just act dramatically to spite him.
-You invite him in to meet your different babies and he fails so bad.
-Turns out he has no clue how to act with dino children that aren’t possibly going to attack him, they don’t care about his shushes or clicker commands
-Gets knocked on his ass by a baby Triceratops trampling past.
-You’ll never let him live it down.
-Owen once found you sitting in the pen with Blue curled up asleep on your lap. She doesn’t even like him that much. He’s done with his kids.
-Invites you to lunch at the paddock, only for 4 hyperactive velociraptors to squawk and take all your attention away from him and the food.
-Owen’s sure they’re all conspiring against him so he never gets laid.
-Lots of joking around and calling each other the girls’ parents.
-He takes every chance to try and convince you to stay the night at his bungalow
-Which many times turns to cuddling by a small bonfire and chatting in the dark.
-“Owen?”
-“Hmm?”
-“If we ever split I’m taking custody of the kids.”
