Keith:
Whether he’s on a mission for team Voltron or for the Blades, he’s almost always from the Castle of Lions
Of course he misses his S/O while he’s gone but he’s working towards making the universe safer not only for them but for everyone
So one day when he returns from an especially long mission that kept him away for weeks, he was exhausted but very excited to see his S/O again
As he goes to their room, he’s a bit disappointed to find them asleep as he was slightly hoping they’d still be awake even though it was late
He sighs, sitting on the edge of their bed to kiss their cheek when he notices that his S/O is wearing his red jacket as they sleep
At first Keith thinks that his S/O was probably just cold and grabbed it to keep warm
But when his S/O starts to stir in their sleep, he’ll gently whisper that he’s back and that he missed them
His S/O’s eyes will snap open as they jump into his arms to give him a big hug
Keith will happily hug them back, very happy to be able to hold them again after so long
After they finish hugging, his S/O hands him back his jacket but Keith quickly says that they needed more than he does right now
His S/O just shakes their head as they admit the only reason they had it on was because they missed him so much and wearing it made it more comfortable for them
Oh man does this make Keith feel bad for always being gone and leaving his S/O alone so much
So Keith will just hug his S/O tighter once more as he promises to come back more often
Lance:
He’s always wants to return from a mission as soon as possible just because he doesn’t want his S/O to worry too much
He’s just the type of person that doesn’t like to make others worry about him too much, especially after leaving Earth knowing much his family is worried about him
But this mission in particular kept all the paladins away from the Castle of Lions for two long weeks without any communication from anyone in the castle
So the moment he lands his lion in his hanger back in the castle, he’s sprinting out of his lion and towards his S/O
To say he’s excited to see them in an understate because for those two weeks he couldn’t about anything except them
Lance finds his S/O of course in the last place he looked, in the library curled up with a book
He’ll quickly notice that his S/O is wearing his jacket as they turn the page in their book
Yet their book quickly hits the floor when his S/O finally notices him standing in the doorway and they leap into his arms as they welcome him back
Their reunion was better than anything Lance could’ve imagined and he was so damn happy
After they’re done hugging, he asks his S/O why they are wearing his jacket because the castle is certainly never cold so he was very confused
As his S/O explains that they missed him so much and that they were so nervous about him while he was away and wearing his jacket brought them some comfort
Lance gets this big old grin on his face after hearing those words and he pulls them back into a hug and swings them around
Now Lance might have to leave his jacket out more often when he’s away just for his S/O
