Tag: Kouta
Headcanon that Izuku keeps the letter from Kouta and reads it whenever he’s down, to remind him of the future he’s working towards, to remind him that he was able to save one little boy, and there are others out there that will need him to save them too one day.
Eventually, he notices it’s starting to get a bit worn, from how much he re-reads it, creases getting deeper from all the times he’s refolded it, and he doesn’t want it to fall apart, so he decides to frame it and put it up on his wall.
His friends all find it pretty endearing, and kinda funny.
When he and Shouto move into their first apartment together after graduating from high school, it’s one of the first things he puts up.
Before long, the entire hero community knows about the letter because Izuku is super friendly and super popular so he always has people over at his place.
Izuku takes Kouta on as an intern in his first year at UA, and basically every hero he meets, upon hearing Kouta’s name, says, “Hey! Aren’t you the kid that punched Midoriya in the balls that one time?”
After the third time this happens, Kouta, mortified, shouts, “HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE YOU TOLD ABOUT THAT!?”
And Izuku just kinda chuckles like, “Lmao that letter is up on my wall, the entire hero community has seen it by this point.”
Kouta wants to crawl into a hole and die, but he comforts himself in the fact that at least it’s only the pro heroes that know about it.
But then, on the day he graduates from UA, Izuku posts this super soppy tweet about how his office is welcoming a new sidekick, and how proud he is of Kouta, and how far he’s come from the angry, bitter little boy that he used to be.
And Kouta would be touched, but Izuku includes a picture of the framed letter on his wall that Kouta wrote when he was 5, and from then on, everyone knows him as “the guy that punched the number one hero in the balls that one time”
