Meeting you in the tower when he and Thor come to Earth after Asgard is destroyed.
You’re an Avenger but you joined after the incident in New York so you didn’t have as much bias as the others on the team; unlike the others, you’re very friendly towards Loki and he is taken aback by it so doesn’t respond to it straight away.
Whenever he was in the tower, he would make an effort to spend time with you.
Though he’d deny it vehemently if anyone ever commented on it.
Loki finding himself enjoying some of his days on Midgard because you would be around him and he’d almost forget what he’d done in the past- you’d make him feel like maybe he could be redeemed… Maybe he deserved to be loved.
Thor would notice how happy you’d make his brother and smile whenever he’d see you snuggle up to Loki.
Realising that maybe he was more attached to you than he initially thought he was.

Loki definitely denied it at first- partly because he hated the feeling of being vulnerable and partly because he knew that as soon as his brother and his hero friends found out, their comments would be relentless.

Loki hated the fact that this was something Thor could hold over him; he regretted giving it away so easily. How could the God of Lies not lie about something as simple as a crush?

Enjoying flirting with him, but most of the time you end up more flustered because Loki is so smooth and charming.
Despite the fact that, with anyone else, he wouldn’t care about Midgardian culture, he loves hearing you talk. He lets you show him your favourite shows and films; he doesn’t want to admit it but some of your recommendations -like songs and literature- he genuinely enjoys.
Getting flustered when you’d snuggle with him on a movie night.
Loki having pet names for you (like ‘love’ and ‘darling’); Loki having to hide the fact he adores it when you reciprocate with your own pet names for him.
Often having ‘sleepovers’ in each others rooms.
It started after you heard Loki having nightmares and went into his room to help him. Eventually, it just became a tradition: staying in each others’ rooms.
He’d tell you about Asgard: about his mother, and his true heritage.
The Avengers eventually finding out that he loves you and teasing him because of it.
Finding out about it from the Avengers after you over hear them talking loudly and confronting Loki about it because… Because you love him too and can’t believe it.

“I don’t think many things are cute,” Nat mutters to Clint, “and I’m the last person to ever fawn over Loki, but that… that’s something.”
Clint looks over to where Loki is standing with you, near the door of the room. Loki’s about to leave with Thor and head back to Asgard for a few weeks and you’re saying your final goodbye’s before you leave. Clint hates himself for it, but he can’t help but smile a little at the sight.
Loki leans down and presses his lips to the top of your head. “It’s only two weeks, love. I’ll be back before you even realise I’m gone,” he says, hand cupping your cheek. “I’m sure you’ll be fine without me, although a little bored, I’m sure.”
Your eyes twinkle. “Bored?”
“Yes, well, you’ve got to spend your time with this lot and, well… not all of us can be as entertaining as I can be, if you see what I mean,” Loki explains, his lips quirking up to the side as he glances over at the other Avengers, all of whom are trying not to stare at the two of you.
You grin up at him and reach down for one of his hands, giving it a quick squeeze. “Not to hurt your feelings or anything, but some of them can actually be pretty entertaining sometimes,” you smirk. “I wouldn’t say they’re as good as you, but you know… average.”
Loki laughs softly, sending butterflies through your stomach as usual. You’d been with him for almost a year at this point and his laugh still gave you butterflies. You’d grown to love them.
“Loki,” Thor says from behind you. He nods toward the door, meaning it’s time to go.
You scrunch up your nose. It’s too soon. It feels like you only just got Loki back, and now he’s being pulled away again. Loki notices the look on your face and nods once at his brother before looking back down at you.
“Next time,” Loki begins, stroking a finger across your cheek. “I’ll bring you with me.”
That brings up your spirits considerably and you instantly look up, meeting his gaze, eyes full of excitement for the future. “It’s only taken you eleven months,” you grin up at him.
Loki smiles again. “Careful, or I’ll retract the offer.”
“You would never.”
He pauses for a second, eyes sparkling in amusement, before nodding. “I suppose you’re right.”
Behind you, Thor clears his throat again. Across the room, Nat rolls her eyes. “You’ve never heard of giving people a second alone, have you, Thor?” She calls, raising her eyebrows at him.
“He hasn’t,” Loki confirms, before turning back to you. “Two weeks. I’ll see you then.”
You nod and lean up, pressing your lips to his neck – the only place you can reach. He chuckles softly, kissing the top of your head once more before obliging himself and bending down to properly kiss you.
Neither of you really take notice of the other Avengers in the room. Even Thor, who is ready to head back to Asgard and ten seconds ago just wanted to leave, smiles a little at the sight of Loki being affectionate with someone he clearly cares so much about. Clint, despite himself, finds himself smiling to himself again.
Loki pulls away and strokes your cheek again. “Two weeks, love.”
You step away from him and watch as he walks over to join Thor. Before they leave the room, you call out to him one last time with a quick and simple “I love you.” You’d shared the words before, but only between the two of you, never in front of anyone else, but you knew you’d regret not telling him if you didn’t say it.
Loki smiles and pauses at the door. “And I you,” he replies, voice soft.
He doesn’t take his eyes off of you as he leaves the room, but as soon as he’s out of sight, you sigh and turn back to the other Avengers. Nat meets you eyes straight away.
“I feel like I just watched the sappiest romance movie in the history of film…” Nat begins. “But, I can’t lie, I loved every second of it.”

“Loki’s being weird.”
“He’s always being weird, Natasha.” Steve replied, not looking up from the newspaper in his hands.
Natasha walked around the table to stand next to him and snatched the paper away. “He’s being extra weird.” She paused, looking over at the other’s sat at the table who were watching the interaction. Bucky and Wanda. “He keeps smiling.”
“She’s right, I saw him laugh at his phone the other day.” Bucky piped in, leaning back in his seat and crossing his arms. “I’ve never seen him laugh before.”
“See!” Natasha pointed at Bucky. “Barnes noticed. I bet he’s doing something evil, we should investigate.”
Steve scoffed, lightly rolling his eyes. “Come on, Nat. I know you don’t trust him-”
“Guys!” Bruce exclaimed, rushing into the room. “Loki just walked passed me and said have a nice night. Was that some kind of code? A curse? Am I going to die?”
“He’s probably just being nice.” Steve insisted, standing up from his seat to move to the connecting kitchen. “People change, you know.”
“Yes, but not this drastically,” Wanda said, also standing to her feet. “I agree with Natasha. He’s completely changed. Are we sure that it’s actually him?”
Bucky looked up at Bruce. “Dr. Banner, was Loki going to his room?”
Bruce thought for a moment before shaking his head. “No, he was heading for the elevators. You think he’s going somewhere?”
Natasha pursed her lips for a moment. “Only one way to find out.” She raced out into the hall and toward the elevators, Wanda and Bucky hot on her heels.
“Nat!” Steve called after her, sighing when she didn’t stop. He looked over at Bruce, who quickly shook his head.
“I’m not involved in this. I don’t wanna fall farther on Loki’s shitlist.” Bruce said, turning and making his way back to the lab.
Steve groaned, knowing he’d have to go after them on his own. Luckily, he already knew where Loki would be going.
Your heart almost leaped from your chest with excitement when your doorbell rang. You immediately put your wine glass down and raced to open the door. There stood Loki, in place of his usual clothes, was a slick black suit and he held red roses. He grinned at you, his eyes trailing up and down your body. He smirked at the Avengers t-shirt you were wearing. “Y/N, ravishing as always.”
You held back a lovestruck grin and stood on your tip toes to press a kiss to his cheek. “Loki, you’re looking quite handsome this evening.” You delicately took the flowers from his hands and smelled them, looking up at him through your eyelashes as you did so. “Roses, my favorite.”
“I know, we’ve been dating for three months.”
You dropped the fancy act immediately, breaking character with a loud fit of giggles. “Alright, come in, you big doof.” You turned away from him and walked to your small kitchen. You put the flowers in a vase with water before scooping up various snacks into your arms.
Loki watched as you walked into the living room, where he was seated on your sofa and had already changed into comfortable sweatpants and a t-shirt. “I was thinking we could watch Jurassic Park today. It’s a classic and one of my favorites.” You said, placing the snacks on the coffee table and sitting down next to him.
“Anything you want, darling.” He smiled, putting his arm around your shoulders and pulling you into his chest. Your heart soared as he pressed a soft kiss to your hair.
“What the fuck.” Said Bucky, eyes widening as he looked through the sniper. It was aimed directly at your apartment and unloaded. The trio was standing on the roof of a neighboring building, trying to get a look into the apartment.
Natasha quickly pushed Bucky out of the way and took a look at the apartment. Her mouth dropped open when she saw you and Loki, cuddled up on the sofa. “Oh my god.” She pulled away from the sniper and allowed Wanda to take a look. “It’s a girl. That’s why he’s been so weird.”
“Yeah,” Steve called out, walking up to them. “Her name is Y/N L/N. She works at a small cafe down the street from here, and she’s just a civilian.”
“But she stole his heart,” Wanda said, turning around to face the captain. “She’s an ordinary person but has somehow managed to catch his attention.”
“I don’t believe that.” Bucky chimed. “How do we know she didn’t bewitch him or something? For his power?”
“Guys, I looked into her. She’s completely clean. Has a mom in Florida, a younger brother in Seattle. She’s a small actress and is here to pursue her dream. She just so happened to meet him.” Steve shrugged, a small smile on his face.
“You knew about her,” Natasha stated, looking at him with confusion.
“I found her because I had the same suspicion as you. He asked me not to tell anybody because he wasn’t ready.”
Bucky began packing up the sniper. “He’s in love. That’s why he’s been so weird and nice. Laughing at his phone.” He paused, standing back up. “It’s cause of her.”
“I am thankful for her then,” Wanda said, smiling a bit. “She’s making him a better person.”
“Yeah,” Natasha replied, looking back down at your apartment window. “I guess she is.”

You sighed to yourself as you heard the soft ding of the elevator, signalling that you were on the floor you wanted to be on.
You had just come back from work and decided that you would drop by the Avengers tower for a while. You had powers, but you had decided that you should keep them a secret from the rest of the world. So, instead of living at the Avengers Tower and fighting with the Avengers, you worked at a small cafe a few blocks away and lived just down the street from the tower.
Tony was like a father to you, he brought you up from the age of 14 and helped you settle your powers, so of course when you decided to move out, he wanted to make sure you stayed close to him, and he visited you regularly, but today you thought you’d visit him.
You’d had a bad day at work. Everything seemed to be going wrong for you. First, you dropped a tray and then for the rest of the day you had customers shouting at you. You loved the small cafe, but sometimes it was just too much for you to handle in one day.
When the elevator door opened, you stepped out quickly and dropped your bag on the ground next to the elevator.
You looked around the room, “Tony?”
You jumped a little when you heard a quiet voice coming from the couch, “He’s not here, he’s in his workshop.”
You looked over at the couch and smiled a little when you saw Loki. You had been friends with Loki for over a year now. At first you were afraid of him and the things that he had done, but after getting to know him for a few months, you realised that he really wasn’t so bad, and you two quickly became good friends.
You walked over to the couch and threw yourself down next to him, letting out a long sigh and closing your eyes.
Loki glanced over at you, “Bad day?”
You nodded, “Very. The cafe is…nice. But sometimes things just get out of hand, and it gets hard not to be wound up by the customers or workers.”
He nodded, “I understand. Do you need anything?”
You smiled a little. Loki was always so kind to you, it was hard for you to believe now that he was the one who attacked New York all those years ago.
You gave him a small glance, “Loki. Loki, Loki, Loki…. you know what I want.”
He narrowed his eyes at you, “No. No, absolutely not.”
You pouted, “Please, I really need a hug. It’s been a really long day….”
He continued looking over at you for a few seconds before he sighed, “Fine, come here.” He opened his arms for you, and you gladly accepted the invitation.
You wrapped your arms around his torso and rest your head on his chest, while he put his arms around your shoulders.
You stayed there in his arms for a few minutes in silence, enjoying the peaceful moment you were having with Loki, but your peace was soon interrupted by a certain genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
Tony smirked when he saw you and Loki cuddling on the couch, “Hey, lovebirds. Hope I’m not interrupting anything here.”
You rolled your eyes, “Get lost Tony, I’ve had a bad day.”
He gave you a small smirk, “Oh, I get it. So you come to the boyfriend for help and not your old man. I see how it is now.”
You scoffed, “My old man? And he’s not my boyfriend, I don’t know why everyone just assumes he’s my boyfriend.”
Loki raised his eyebrows as he looked down at you in his arms, mumbling, “I do wonder why.”
Tony gave you a small chuckle, “Why do we assume he’s your boyfriend? It might be because every time we see you two you’re snuggling on the couch together, might not be.”
You rolled your eyes and sat up, picking up a pillow and throwing it in Tony’s direction, a small smile on your features, “Leave, Tony.”
He nodded and got up, holding his hands up in defeat. “I apologise princess, I won’t bother you or your prince.” And with that, he smirked and went back to his workshop.
You rolled your eyes, “He is unbelievable, I swear. He does this to me all of the time. Every man I have contact with is my boyfriend according to him.” You wrapped your arms around Loki again, awaiting his response, but he was quiet.
He bit his lip, thinking to himself for a moment. He wouldn’t mind if you were his girlfriend. He wouldn’t mind being teased by Stark and the rest of the team if it meant that he could see your face and hold you every day of his life.
Eventually, he spoke. “I wouldn’t mind, you know.”
You furrowed your eyebrows, “Wouldn’t mind what?”
He bit his lip, “Being your boyfriend. It wouldn’t be a bad thing, in my opinion.”
You smiled a little, “Oh…”
“Would you allow me to take you out for dinner?”
You sat up, looking him in eye and nodded, “That would be lovely.”
