shoulder rubs, calling them pet names ( ‘babe’, ‘baby’, ‘darling’, ‘dear’,
‘sweetheart’ etc.), showering them with compliments, and they even do it to
loki and he’s tryna figure out if it’s all strictly platonic or if there’s

Midgardians were odd, he had known that for a long time, but there was
one Midgardian that was in his eyes even a little more strange. Y/n l/n joined
the avengers not long after the Battle of New York and Loki had met her when
Thor had dragged him to earth after the battle with Ultron. Y/n was the
youngest member and loved and protected by all the others. She was affectionate
towards everyone, there wasn’t a bad thing coming from her mouth.
When Loki first met her she had been braiding bucky’s hair “When you keep it braided
like this it won’t get in your eyes when you’re running.”
“Thanks doll, you’re the best.”
“No problem babe.” Bucky had pressed a kiss on your head before leaving
Loki thought you were dating Bucky at first, but he noticed more and more that you
did it to everyone. Because when Bucky had left and Thor announced his presence
“Thor! You’re back.” You had flown the god around his neck
“Good to see you too Lady Y/N.”
“Space has been good for you, you look even more handsome than you already did
Thor.” You complimented him when you had let go of him.
“Lady y/n, I want you to introduce you to my brother Loki.”
“Hi.” Loki held out his hand, you took him in surprise by pulling him into a
hug a giving him a kiss on his cheek.
“So nice to meet you Loki, I heard so much about.” You told him excitedly
“Oh okay.” He hadn’t expected for someone to be excited to meet him, but there
you were.
After that he felt some sort of attraction towards you, you were different from
everyone he had met. It was a bit difficult for him to how affectionate you were
to everyone. You hugged everyone and had a special nickname for every single avenger.
The other avengers hadn’t really been so welcoming and it was a relief for him
every time you guys hang out. Loki had overheard you trying to get the iron man
to be a little kinder to him, but it didn’t really work “Tony you have to give
him a chance.”
“He lost his chance the moment he set foot in the s.h.i.e.l.d. base. And you
should really watch out for him to.”
“Tony dear, you know that I can take care of myself.” You joked
“But that doesn’t mean that I’m not allowed to worry about you and protect you.”
Tony pointed out
“True, just think about it. Please?”
“Just because it’s you.”
You pulled him into a hug “Now that’s why I love you, thanks Tony.”
“Pack your stuff, I’ll meet you in the garage.” Tony took his car keys from the
counter when he almost bumped into Loki “Ah Reindeer games, didn’t see you there.”
You quickly turned around and saw Loki standing, waiting for you to say
something “Loki, I didn’t know you were here.”
“That’s okay.” He brushed it off “Thank you for doing that.” A small smile had
appeared around his mouth, something you hadn’t seen before.
“No problem love.” You pressed a kiss on his “See you when I get back?”
“yes of course, I’ll be here.” Loki was left standing, he didn’t really know
what to think. His feelings being so confusing.
Later that day the two of you were just sitting in silence reading a book while
you had put your legs over his lap they. When the two of you were together you
could tell that Loki was more relaxed. After an hour you had put you book down “You
want something to drink love?”
“Ehh, yes sure.”
“Is tea alright?”
Loki nodded in respond and put his book down as well. He observed you, walking
around the kitchen, pouring the water into the cups before he blurred out “Y/n, can I ask you something?”
“Of course, you can ask me everything.” You let a moment of silence fall “Well
almost anything.”
“You are always so affectionate to people, why is that?”
That was a question you didn’t really see coming “I don’t know actually, I think
I just like to show the people I care about how much I love them“ You walked
back to the couch and handed him a cup of tea
“But you also did it when we first met, why?”
“You’re different then everyone I’ve ever met. This might sound crazy, but I
just felt the urge to hug you and to welcome you.”
“That’s not crazy.” Loki thought about his next question before he asked it “Okay,
maybe I’m going to sound crazy. But I’m going to ask it okay?”
You softly touched his hand “Loki just say it.”
“Did you ever feel like there was something more between the two of us?”
When you thought about it for a moment, you could see he was starting to get
nervous just as you “I have, but I didn’t think you would ever see something in
a simple Midgardian.”
“You are far from simple y/n.”
“really?”
“y/n, could I take you out on a date? I don’t know what Midgardians normally do
but I’ll figure it out.” He rattled
“I would love that Loki.”
And so a couple nights later, Loki was waiting for you in the living room. He looked so handsome and he had created the most perfect date you could ever have wished for.
