Peter Parker: -on meeting Loki, offers his hand- Hi, I’m Peter!

Loki: -shakes his hand- Loki of Asgard.

Peter: Aren’t you like…a bad guy?

Loki: It varies from moment to moment.

Peter: So like…on a scale of one to ten, ten being the worst evil imaginable, like…killing puppies, and one being I’ll spit on your hotdog…where are you right now?

Loki: …maybe a three?

Peter: Cool. Lemme know if it gets above a six.

Loki: -thinking- I like him.

It had been a joke, a flippant line, but somehow, Loki found himself taking the youth up on it.

It was hard living around these heroic Avengers, hard trying to stay close to Thor. And when he felt his need for mischief rise too high, when he felt exasperation with these Midgardians turn too close to spite, he would casually say “Six.” to the young man, or sometimes “Seven.”

And Peter would spend the rest of his day with Loki. He would badger him with questions about magic, or drag him across his beloved city to see its entertainments, or take him along stopping petty crimes. He grounded Loki to the here and now, and distracted him from the churning, jagged shards of ice in his mind.

WE NEED LOKI AND PETER FICS

Stark’s brat had a system. It had been amusing, at first glance, especially when “killing puppies” was apparently a higher level of evil than trying to take over the world. It had risen and fallen – two, five, one. There were honestly good days.

It took some time before a truly bad day came up.

After a difficult battle, the Captain was being particularly sanctimonious, his team following suit. Even Stark made biting comments.

Loki could scream.

“Spider-man,” he said as calmly as he could. The young man glanced up, having been tying up some of their enemies a few yards away.

“Seven.”

“… okay, guys, I’m going to head out with Loki for the rest of the day. Don’t need us for debrief, yeah?”

“Sure,” Stark shrugged, glancing between the two of them oddly. Loki wasn’t entirely sure what the plan was. They went in civilian clothes to a small café.

“I wasn’t paying attention, so whatever was said, I don’t agree,” Peter began. “But that’s not what I’m here for. So. When you teleport, how does that work? Is it harder with longer distances? Or is knowledge of the place more helpful?” Loki blinked, but explained. It led to a discussion of magical theory. Peter (Loki still called him Parker aloud, but the child and even his young friends grew on him in time) was eager and curious, comparing what he knew from Strange and fantasy books to Loki’s knowledge. It was admittedly fascinating to see how many versions of sorcery humans had created by mere imagination. He was definitely amused by the elves and dwarves of Lord of the Rings.

Sometimes Peter tentatively asked about Strange and Maximoff, if they were doing similar things. Never if Loki was at an 8 or above though.

“Strange is like a child prodigy. He’s good, picks the practical parts up well. He even got the jump on me – but he has not had as much time to study as me. He’s a student where I am a master. Maximoff is incredibly powerful and incredibly lucky, but she does not have much training at all.” Sometimes conversation turned to music, animals, current events.

Peter was good. It was odd, how Loki became so sure of the fact so quickly.

After the conversations, often accompanied with food or a walk, he was always down to a 3 or so. Which made Peter an important person.

So the next time Peter was in trouble and the Avengers were indisposed, Loki was not the least bit surprised that he was not the only one ready to tear someone apart for the kid. Two men in red – one with horns, one with guns and swords – a young girl with cat-shaped blasters on her hands, and the Captain’s assassin friend. Loki curled his lips and muttered:

“For anyone that harms you? 10.”

IT GOT MORE SINCE THE LAST TIME I SAW IT AND IM IN LOVE

also, the fact we get Daredevil, Deadpool, Shuri, and James teaming up with Loki to protect Peter? I AM HERE FOR ALL THIS HELLS YES

(I thought I didn’t have anything to add but I do)

It was just after noon on a Saturday when Loki got a text from Peter, all it said was

‘8, I’m at home′

Peter had never used their number system for himself before.

Loki had promised the boy’s aunt he would not teleport into their home and while he’d had every intention of honouring that promise, this was definitely an exception.

When Loki materialized in Peter’s room, his friend was pacing, angry and red-faced. Loki had never seen Peter furious before.

Peter began shouting when he saw Loki, ‘Men are scum! Irredeemable, horrible, crappy, scummy scum!’

‘Thank you for telling me, Peter.’ Loki said, sitting down on Peter’s bed. ‘Any particular men inspiring this diatribe?’

Peter grabbed a pillow off his bed and screamed into it, ‘There’s a guy at Aunt May’s work who’s harassing her and she says I need to stay out of it and let Human Resources do their jobs and he’s a creep and he’s making May feel creeped out and… I don’t know what to do.’

Loki blinked. Of all the people Peter could have gone to, he had chose Loki.

‘Thank you, for telling me this. Although I’m not sure how I can be of help.’

Peter flopped down onto the bed next to Loki, ‘You’re my friend and you’re an adult. And I wasn’t sure who else to talk to.’

Loki flopped back next to Peter, it seemed appropriate. ‘If Human Resources doesn’t sort this out to your satisfaction, I can turn this person into a goat.’

Peter giggled, ‘An ugly, stupid goat?’

‘Any kind of goat you like,’ Loki replied.

Imagine Loki is an avenger and after asgardian ship crashed he tricked Thanos, returned to the Stark tower and warned others.You,also an avenger,were abroad enjoying your vacation with your family.Loki did his best to convince Fury not to tell you anything about Thanos thing.Though Fury didn’t approve that request recalling Loki that every avenger should be ready to protect the Earth.I do not care about the Earth.I care about her.

Loki and Fury agreed that they’re going to call you if things go sideways.And now at 3 in the morning Loki was holding a phone close to his ear and waited to hear your voice.

“Hey,asgardian,”-he heard his lovely voice of yours.He smiled oblivious to the injures that he sustained in a fight with Black Order.

“I’m not.” You liked to tease him about his origin,you liked to tease him at all actually.“How’s your holiday?”

“Fine.I tan all day,”-you laughed and there was a silence for a while.You added,-“But  I think something has happened if you’re calling me at 3 in the morning your time.”

“Yes,actually.” Loki couldn’t imagine that he will say that ever to somebody.You frowned and waited for his answer.“I miss you.”

“Oh..,”-you breathed,-“I miss you too,Loki.”

The fear that Thanos could actually spoil everything before it even started made Loki to squeeze the phone.He started worrying that Thanos could find out his trick,and if so, he wouldn’t be able to see you again.

“…This place is amazing,but again I miss my work.” Loki wasn’t listening to you.He played the scene of his own death in his head thinking of resurrections but then again the face of Thanos appeared in front of his eyes.You were his weakness and he was afraid.

“I love you.”

“What?” You quickly reacted to his words.

“I..I love you…” It was mostly a question to himself than a statement.

“Loki..-”

“I love your voice,the way you laugh,”-Loki frowned not knowing how else to describe his love to you that he’s been hiding,-“I always loved you.” You smiled at his words and pressed the phone close to your ear.But then something snapped.

“Loki,”-you stopped,-“you’re sounding like you’re going somewhere.What’s wrong?” You feared of his next answer.

“I’m needed in Asgard.”

You closed your eyes recalling how long he’s been there last time.“For how long?” You managed to ask.

You may never see me.

“I don’t know.”

“If you’re hiding something from me…You know I’ll find out.” You said.

He smiled.“As always.”

I wrote this little monologue which is really a kind of pastiche of other things I’d done in ‘Avengers’. And then I just sort of improvised it. I’ve got to be honest; I was waiting backstage and I just heard that every single X-Men who has ever walked the earth had been on stage before and I was a little nervous. And I thought Well, hopefully if I just commit to it, it’ll go well. And I thought, I could always get them to chant my name if it doesn’t work. And I walked out, and the very first thing they started doing was chant my name. And that was really surprising… I felt a kind of adrenaline rush like I’ve never felt.’

Summary: “You Midgardians certainly have weird jargon to label certain acts of affection.”

Words: 804

Warnings: A little suggestive near the end 😉

Genre: Fluff, smut? (a very very minuscule amount)

A/N: Just a little random imagine I decided to write. Feedback is appreciated!

“And there he sat with his own questions aplenty. What shall he inquire? An ominous face emerged upon him as…”

Loki’s head rested comfortably on your lap as you absentmindedly ran your fingers through his long dark locks. A contented sigh escaped his lips, relishing the way your hand separated through each strand of his hair. He gazed at your face, preferably your lips, as you read off one of the pages of his many favourite Asgardian books.

It was a day off for everyone in the Avengers compound and that meant there were no missions or training clogging up your agenda for the day. You and Loki decided to have a lazy day so you could enjoy each other’s presence without the interruption of any super soldiers, playboy millionaires, or a certain blond haired demigod.

Loki fixed his eyes on your lips, watching how they moved with each word you pronounced. His flickered his eyes to the rest of your face, observing each little aspect that made your expressions. He made notes of your features, like the way your eyebrows furrowed when you concentrated on a specific sentence, or when your eyes lit up when you were invested in a particular paragraph. A blush risen to his cheeks. He couldn’t believe that it only took the tiniest things to make his heart melt.

As you were about to turn the next page, you glanced down to see a flushed faced Loki, his gaze softly exploring your face. You smiled widely, bending the corner of the page to bookmark before setting the novel aside.

“What is it?” You asked curiously. You slowly leaned back, feeling the back of your head rest against the headboard of Loki’s bed as you continued to run your fingers through his hair.

“Nothing, my love. I just simply adore it when you read aloud for me. Your voice is like music to my ears and your words dance through the air when you recite each sentence.” He admired.

It was your turn to have warmth dusted on your cheeks. You thought you would be used to his compliments, some being more dramatic than others, by now, but it seems like his magic still worked on you. Loki delicately grabbed your hand with his before bringing it to his lips. Your heart did flips in your chest as he softly kissed each of your knuckles.

“I am incredibly lucky to have you in my life, Y/N.” He gushed, beaming a bright smile at you.

You chuckled at his adorable behaviour, “You’re so cute you know that?”

With your index finger, you featherily tapped his nose, making a puzzled smile surface on his face.

“What did you just do?” He questioned as he lightly chuckled.

“What this?” You suggested, tapping his nose again.

Licking his lips, a laugh escaped his mouth, strangely liking the sensation.

“I don’t know what you’re doing but I actually don’t find it irritating.” Loki acknowledged with a smirk.

“I booped your nose, my king.” You teased.

Loki raised an eyebrow, “I beg your pardon? Boop?”

You nodded while biting your bottom lip, trying to prevent your smile from growing.

Reaching up with a hand, he replicated your action and booped your nose back, earning a giggle from you.

“You Midgardians certainly have weird jargon to label certain acts of affection.” He said as he sat up from his position, moving to sit beside you.

You hummed in agreement as you climbed into his lap, straddling him as you hung your arms around his neck loosely. His hand intuitively rested at your hip as he drew light circles with his thumb. His other hand reached up to cup your cheek, stroking your cheekbone with a loving touch.

Loki sighed, gazing into your eyes as he gently pressed his forehead against yours, “I love you.”

“I love you too.” You breathed, leaning forward to meet his lips with yours.

You tenderly moved your lips against his as he situated his hands behind your back, pulling you in closer to him. Loki pressed his lips more firmly to yours as you laid your hands against his chest. He wrapped his arms around your waist, embracing you as you bit his bottom lip. He hummed in response, before pulling away to latch his lips on your neck. You sighed as he leisurely pecked your neck, kissing your skin over and over again.

“Loki?” You asked.

“What is it, my pet?” He addressed, his lips leaving your neck for a moment before reattaching them. Your heart began to race as the tone of his voice made your thoughts run wild.

“What about your book?” You softly murmured.

Pulling back, Loki stared into your eyes as a different motive could be seen behind his eyes.

“The book can wait later.” He smirked.

We Have an Audience

Summary: How can Loki and the reader showing pda not attract the attention of their fellow teammates?

Word Count: 932

Authors note: Some fluff to fix the bullshit the russo’s gave us

        Loki smiled softly as he listened to you read out loud. His head rested in your lap, and every once and a while you’d manage holding the book and softly playing with his hair. You two had been resting out on the balcony/patio enjoying one of the first days of summer.

Months ago Loki would’ve tensed up at the thought of being so openly romantic where anyone could see, but you’d changed him. With you Loki felt like he could be more vulnerable, and with someone as magical as you it was hard to not want to show off how lucky he was.

You and Loki had an agreement going on, you picked a book and read it aloud and then he picked another. It was a sweet and pure way to get to know each other.  What a person likes to read speaks volumes about them.

For example Loki was a hopeless romantic, not something you’d think by just looking at him. Last month he’d chosen The Great Gatsby, and even the most mundane lines sounded like pure poetry rolling off his tongue.

Mall Days

Loki x reader

Warnings: none, is Loki in a suit a warning??? Be prepared anyway

It was mall day for the Avengers, which meant lots of spending, eating shitty pretzels, and having a great time. As the world’s protectors, you and the team never really had a chance to do normal people things, so once a month you guys had agreed to get out and do something fun. This month, it was the mall, and you had never been more excited. You loved shopping, even if you weren’t going to buy anything. It was entertainment enough to just walk around and look at books, nice clothes, and eye catching trinkets. Whatever you did, mall days were always sure to be interesting.

What the Avengers didn’t realize was that by bringing everybody, that really meant everybody, which meant that nobody would be back at the Tower supervising the team’s newest addition, Loki. This definitely put a damper on the mood of the group, because it was assumed that they would have to cancel the mall day in order to stay behind and watch him, but luckily, you saved the day and volunteered to keep and eye on him if they brought him to the mall too.

And that was how you ended up here, in Forever 21, inspecting a blouse while Loki followed you around like a lost puppy.

You were just about to pick up another blouse you found pretty when you heard a whine behind you.

“Can we please leave this godforsaken store now, Miss Y/N?” Loki drawled, putting his head in his hand as he sat on the edge of one of the display tables.

“Loki, I haven’t even found a shirt I like,” you stated calmly, trying to ignore his impatient antics.

“You haven’t bought anything at any of the stores you’ve been to,” he pointed out. “So why are we still here?”

You sighed in annoyance, admitting to yourself that he had made a fair point.

“Alright,” you conceded, “Let’s go to another store.”

Loki breathed out in relief and got up to follow you out of the Forever 21.

“Where are we going now?” he asked almost excitedly.

You thought for a little bit, then snapped your fingers as an idea hit you. “We’re going to a store I think you’ll like,” you said, smirking as you walked in the direction of your destination.

~~~~~
“Men’s Wearhouse?” Loki asked in confusion, reading the sign above the store you had just ushered him into.
“Yeah!” you replied enthusiastically. “I figured you were tired of seeing women’s clothes, so I brought you here to try on some suits and stuff.”
Loki frowned, then saw the excitement on your face and softened his own expression. If this made you happy and kept him busy, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad here after all.
You were already looking through some dress shirts and suit jackets that you thought would fit him, and you eventually stumbled upon a green shirt paired with a beautiful glossy black tie.
Perfect.
You quickly pulled them off the rack and handed them to Loki, who you pushed into the changing rooms before he had time to protest.
After waiting outside for a few minutes, you heard a grunt followed by a growl of frustration, and you looked up as Loki emerged from the dressing room in the shirt, still holding the tie.
The room suddenly felt about 10 degrees warmer as you realized:
Fuck, Loki was HOT.
The shirt fit him perfectly and accented his shoulders and slim but athletic frame. And god damn the pants fit in all the right places.
Loki didn’t seem to notice your increasingly flustered state, and he walked forward, shoving the tie at you and saying, “I don’t know how to put this bloody thing on.”
“H-here, let me do it,” you stuttered, getting up from your seat to take the tie from him.
As you lifted up his collar and wrapped the tie around his neck, you realized that this was the closest you had ever been to Loki, and it was certainly having an effect on you. Your hand trembled slightly as you tied the knot and tightened it, and you were having trouble putting the shiny fabric through the loop you had created.
Loki noticed your struggle, and he reached up, placing his hands on yours to steady your shaking.
“Miss Y/N, are you quite alright? You seem to be out of sorts,” he commented lightly, looking at you with a concerned face.
You all but melted under his intense gaze, shaking your head to clear your thoughts and replying, “Yes, yes I’m fine, I was just….thinking.”
Loki looked confused but didn’t mention it again, letting you continue with your task. When you were done, you stood back and admired your work, nodding in satisfaction at the sight before you.
“Go look at yourself in the mirror,” you said, urging Loki towards the full body mirror on the wall.
Loki looked at himself a long time, turning this way and that to see himself from different angles.
“It’s not what I’m used to,” he said after a while, “But I think it’s quite nice.”
He turned around with a shy smile on his face.
“What do you think?”
Your heart began beating loudly in your chest, almost encouraging you to say what was really on your mind.
“I think you look extremely handsome, Loki,” you said with a bright smile.
Loki’s grin widened and he looked down at his feet awkwardly.
“Usually it’s Thor that gets the compliments, but I thank you immensely for saying that,” he said.
You walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder, looking up into his bright blue eyes.
“Don’t worry Loki, I think you’re just as handsome, if not more handsome than Thor,” you said reassuringly.
Loki beamed down at you, happy that finally someone saw him as an equal to his brother. You were just glad that you had made the right choice in coming to Men’s Wearhouse, or else you never would have been able to see the rare sight before you.
In a burst of courage, you pulled Loki’s tie and brought his head level with yours, whispering in his ear, “We’re definitely buying these clothes.”
Loki frowned and said, “We don’t have any money, Lady Y/N.”
At this, you pulled out a metallic gold credit card and waved it in front of his face.
“I stole this bad boy from Tony’s wallet. He’ll never miss a couple hundred bucks in his bank account,” you said, smirking at your accomplishment.
Loki grinned mischievously, then gave you a quick peck on the cheek before saying into your ear, “I do love naughty girls.”
You punched Loki lightly on the arm and laughed.
“I know ya do, sport, now get changed so I can pay for your shit,” you pushed Loki back into the changing room and went back to your seat to wait for him.
“Language, Y/N,” you heard him say from inside.
You giggled and replied, “I’m gonna tell Cap you stole his catchphrase, then he’ll beat your ass.”
“No you won’t,” Loki snickered. “You love me.”
You laughed and made no comment, the voice inside your head screaming at you to stop your feelings before they got out of hand. You shook your head to dispel your thoughts, then said softly, more to yourself than to Loki, “Maybe I do.”
Yep. Mall days were definitely interesting.
