It startles him every time he sees your running out of nowhere to launch yourself into him
The first time you did it he actually ran, but don’t bring that up. He’s embarrassed
He still might run. He never gets used to it
Gladio
He’s excited, but in a much more chill way than Nyx
Even though you’ve thrown yourself at him full speed, with all of your weight, he doesn’t budge?? He doesn’t even stumble?? It’s like running into a wall or something
You’ll probably get teased for being so excitable. “I guess you’re happy to see me, huh?”
Noctis
He’s been friends with Prompto for a while so he kinda just accepts it and lets you fling yourself into his arms
He might sway a little bit, because he’s not as solid as Gladio, but he doesn’t fall or anything
If for whatever reason you ever stop running at him as a greeting, he’ll actually be a little sad. “Why don’t you tackle me anymore? Did I do something wrong?”
Prompto
Don’t.
Just… don’t. Odds are he’s already running toward you full speed and you’re gonna knock each other out
If you still take the chance, there’s still going to be mild injuries. You can’t rugby tackle a little guy like Prompto and expect everything to be perfectly okay
Ignis
He might be a little embarrassed but as long as he’s not holding coffee or anything, you’ll be okay
I say “you’ll be okay” because if he is holding coffee, his instinct is to side step you and let you fall or something. He doesn’t mean it and he feels horrible, but Prompto has trained him to be like that
Otherwise he’ll just give a little laugh and pat you on the back
in the horizon is the
text you got from your boyfriend, saying he will help himself inside your place
and wait for you to come home.
Noctis
Seeing you
walk through the door with slumped shoulders and a scowl decorating your pretty
face scares him. What happened? Are you okay? He is all over you, checking you
for physical injuries his mind conjured up in overdrive. He won’t let it go
before he hears what has happened.
When you
tell him you just had a shitty day at work, he will feel bad for you, but also
make it his personal goal for the day to make you feel better. Noctis is
relieved to hear your state of mind is something he can help with.
He wheedles
you until you allow yourself to be escorted into the bedroom. Then, the Needy
Prince™ showers you with silly kisses, cuddling and tickling you until you
elicit a smile and laugh because of his ministrations.
Prompto
It’s hard
to stay in bad mood when you’re in the same room with this sunshine child. He
understands if you don’t want to dwell on it, but he is always ready to listen.
He even encourages you to vent, if that’s what you need. Prompto might not be
the best one to offer advice, but no one can surpass him as a shoulder to cry
on.
Other than lending
his ear, Prompto is ready and able to tear your mind off the shitty day. By
whatever means necessary. Be it something sweet to eat, a walk outside or just
a warm hug, he’s got you. Silly photoshoots and extemporaneous things to do are
his strong suit. He is very persistent in coaxing any idea out of you that
might make you feel better.
Gladio
Just a
simple question of “What’s wrong babe?” escapes him as soon as you
walk into his field of vision. Trying to hide or downplay the fact that your
day has been awful is no use – Gladio will pry the information about what
happened from you.
He hugs you
while you bury your face into his chest, and strokes your hair. When he feels
you relax, he is ready to do anything to help your brighten up, you only need
to ask.
Gladio is
ready to go teach a lesson to anyone who makes you feel so shitty and you will
end up trying to calm him down.
However, he is quick to apologize for his reaction and strong words, but just
knowing the extent of what he would do for you makes you feel better.
Ignis
The moment
you step inside your apartment, a delicious smell greets you. Of course Ignis
would prepare a dinner to wait for you to come home. Seeing your frown makes
him instantly abandon the cooking and come over to you. Any resulting burnt
food is nowhere near as important as hearing you to tell him what’s causing you
to sulk.
Ignis appreciates
it if you’re willing to confide in him, but he understands if the issue is
something you don’t wish to discuss anymore. Though he knows your work so well,
that he can probably guess what’s got you under the weather.
After
dinner, Ignis has you sit on a cushion on the floor and settles behind you on
the couch. He massages your tight shoulders until you relax while talking about
anything you’d like.
Nyx
Nyx is
actually sleeping soundly in your bed after a deployment when you come home. Your
troubles seem miniscule next to the fact that he has come safely home, back to
you, once more. But also just seeing him after a long time makes your heart
lighter.
You quietly
shed your working clothes and crawl into the bed next to him. Of course you
cannot physically be so silent, that you wouldn’t wake up the hero of the
Kingsglaive. Nyx stirs enough to open his arms and pulls you close. With his
sleepy grunts and hoarse “Welcome home” in your ears, your shitty day
gets much better.
Ravus
Ravus
definitely notices something is off when he lays his eyes on you. But, don’t
expect him to start questioning what’s wrong. He is big on personal space,
especially emotionally, and extends the same courtesy for you. He knows you’ll
tell him if it’s something that concerns him or if you just need to talk.
He makes
the effort of being more attentive to you until you feel better. The thing with
Ravus is, he will gladly comfort you when you need it, but he won’t tout it, so
you really can’t be shy about your needs. If you want something from him, you
have to say it out loud.
Ravus can
be really affectionate, when it is called for, but his forte in helping you to
feel better is a comfortable silence.
Because I always get asked if my brother is my boyfriend and I want them to feel similar. muahahaha.
mistaken for the father: “It’s so rare to see dads spending time with their kids.”
Cor – His head turned red – A deep red – The kind of red you would see when blood drips onto a dark surface – There is so much blood in his head he’s a little dizzy – His S/O has to save the person that mistook him for the father – Because by the Astrals he never had to deal with something like that – He’s offended and confused
Regis – He’s looking for that mentioned father – Takes him a while to understand – Then he chokes on his own spit – He really wants to explain – But on the other hand, he doesn’t want to look like a creep – They literally think his S/O is his kid – That’s stress – He could look like a criminal to them if he told the truth – “They- they’re not…” – Decides not to say anything
Drautos – Faces them with the intensity of a thousand suns burning in his eyes – He about to kill someone – He’s not THAT old all right?! – “They’re not my kid.” – His voice probably froze someone into a statue
Bonus: Ardyn – “I mean they do call me Daddy sometimes.” – And with that, he’s done – Happily gives his S/O a little kiss
Imagine: Their S/O jumping in, pointing at them and shouting: “You are not the father.”
Mistaken for the brother: “You’re such a nice brother.”
Gladio – Laughs – Until he notices they seriously think he’s his S/O’s brother – “Oh, I’m not their brother.”
Ignis – Doesn’t know how to feel about this – He’s a little confused – Why would someone think he’s their brother? – “You are terribly mistaken, I am not their brother.”
Prompto – Stutters – Stumbles over his words so much – I don’t even believe he’s breathing anymore – He’s so red – “I’m. I mean. I. Um.” – He a little shy so he needs some try and error until he can tell them he’s not the brother
Noctis – Chokes on his own spit – Considers dying his hair immediately – “I am,” kinda deep breath because he needs air after that choking sound, “not their brother.”
Nyx – He confused – Looks at the person – Then to his S/O – Back at the person – “You can’t seriously think we’re siblings.” – Looks at his S/O – “You look way cuter than I, how could I possibly be your brother?”
Bonus:
Ravus – He’s the King when it comes to not handling a situation – Because he’s really quiet – Looks at his S/O dead serious – “We’re leaving.” – Leaves.
Imagine: Their S/O going: “All right bro let’s go!” And slapping their ass really hard.
Hes so easy to be in a relationship with. He’s laid back and happy and that really reflects on you as well. Its hard not to smile in his presence
He doesn’t have much money to take you out or buy you nice things, but he makes up for it with all the love and affection he can give.
He loves giving you pet names. “Princess, babe, baby, hun, sweetheart.” He sticks to Princess and babe in public to save you embarrassment. He loves to call you teasing nicknames too. “Sugar buns, honey buns, hungry bunches of oats” Give him nicknames too please! He really loves them, but he won’t tell you that of course. “Babe and baby” are his favorites. Call him “hero” to tease him sometimes
Really craves physical attention especially after long missions. You’re soft, sweet, someone he finds refuge in. You’re likely not from Galahd, but you remind him of home and he needs that after a day with the Glaive. Titus breathing down his neck and Tredd stepping on his toes throws him into a bad mood. He tries not to bring it home, but sometimes it’s inevitable and he feels bad about it. Take his hand and sit him on the couch and just love him for a while.
He loves when you ask questions about his home in Galahd. He’ll tell you everything that maked him happy. His mom, his sister, the food everything. He’ll happily teach you how to make the food from Galahd!
Tracing your fingers and kissing his tattoos makes him weak in the knees. Kissing the one right below his eye makes him flush red just a bit. It’s the little things with him. If you have any tattoos he’ll gladly return the favor. One drunken night Pelna suggested you two get matching tattoos. Hasn’t happened yet, but Nyx sure is thinking about it.
He’ll take his braids out 3 times a week to get a real deep clean and rebraid them. If you offer to do it for him, he won’t hesitate at all. His braids are another reminder of Galahad. The fact you want to be a part of his culture warms him up inside. He’ll teach you how to braid it, put the beads in and such and let you have your fun with it.
Be prepared to get very acquainted with Libertus, Crowe, Pelna and Luche. Lib and Crowe have keys to his apartment so don’t be alarmed if you suddenly have company! If you and Nyx move in together, he’ll ask your permission if they can have keys. “Of course they can you goof.”
You’ll be known as the Glaive girl/boyfriend. Everyone loves you, especially when you bring in treats for them. Glaive cookie day! Even Titus enjoys you being around and that’s saying a lot. “You have a nice partner, Ulric.” Aw shucks Titus.
Family is a BIG BIG BIG thing for Nyx. That’s why his friends have keys. He loves the feeling of his home being their home. His home being your home. He would love to have a family with you, kids and all, but being a glaive is a rough life. He doesn’t want to leave you alone if he were to die on duty. So you settle for a small pet like a bird or a lizard.
He loves to be the big spoon. He’ll press kisses to the top of your head, your neck, your shoulders, anywhere he can reach. He’s a natural heater so no worries about being cold.
He loves to hum as you’re falling asleep. He’ll rest his chin on top of your head and hum you and himself to sleep.
Kissing you before he leaves for work is a must must must. Even if you’re still asleep when he does, he has to do it.
He’ll leave little notes for you around the house. “I love you!” “Ill see you tonight!” “I drew you while you were sleeping!” Its a stick figure with closed eyes. You put it in the fridge to keep forever.
Tw: suicide>> Is pretty clear Nyx has PTSD. It can effect his daily life some days. He’s confided in you that he’s thought about suicide before. Comfort him in any way you can on the days he’s down. Cook him a nice meal, draw him a bath. He might tell you no he doesn’t need it the first couple times but don’t listen to him. Make him feel like a king because he’s your king.
