• Studious and sweet.
• Soma’s a real class act. A classic man when it comes to courting someone he really  cares about. Flowers, counted a 100 days anniversary, every holiday that’s meant for couples under the sun. He looked that shit up and he’s going to impress you with it.
• Of course, that’s when you actually get him to realize he has a thing for you. Because leading up to before he asks you out, he’s going to be completely in denial with all of his friends. Mina teases him *mercilessly* about it.
• “What do you think about Y/N?” “They’re a great person! And they’re very intelligent, and-” “Do you like them?” “I’m not sure what you mean.”
• And things are playful and sweet and nice as Soma and you navigate the ideal vision of young Japanese students in love.
• He always seems to be holding something back when making love with you. Always…restrained it seems. You assume it’s him trying to last out, but then sometimes you notice something different.
• It’s not like his eyes glow or something actually terrifying, but just at random it seems that a more impulsive, greedier side to him creeps out. He could be saying something about how much he loves you at one moment, and then quietly, “No one else can have you. No one. I won’t let them.” Or he’ll ask you that he wants to mark you, which his usual self seems to be reluctant to even get overly physical around you (“It’s a little…rude isn’t it Y/N? It’s not that I’m not attracted to you, I am…I just…it’s a little embarrassing to be honest.”)
• It’s not necssarily disconcerting per se, since he doesn’t display any actual desire to be abusive to you. But you can tell that the real Soma feels very deeply for you, enough that he would do anything for you. That he finds it a point to touch you to prove to everyone else that you’re with him, and always under his protection…
• Until he finds out he’s Dracula’s next incarnation.
• Then he becomes distant and unsure of how to even tell you that he’s basically the reincarnation of a vampire warlord that basically waged war against the world for literal centuries.
• With careful encouragement and Soma resisting said demonic impulses for good, he’ll come to be much more open and loving in how he feels towards you.
