You and Kurt were sitting watching a movie in the common room when a crash of thunder came. Kurt jumped and curled his tail around you. The lights flickered and went out after a little. Kurt tightened his grip around you. You chuckled slightly and closed your eyes, focusing on light. After a couple seconds you started to glow. 

You opened your eyes again and there was Kurt, looking at you with wonder in his eyes.

“You’ve seen my mutation before Kurt.” He smiled at you.

“I still love it, it’s beautiful.” You shook your head at your boyfriend and started to stand up. He grabbed your leg with his tail, stopping you.

“I’m just going to get some blankets Kurt. I’ll be back in a moment, I promise.” Kurt nodded slowly and you left the room to go to get some blankets. When you came back a few minutes later Kurt had rolled himself into a ball with his eyes closed. He was rocking slowly and muttering something in German. 

Sitting down next to him you put a blanket around his shoulders and pulled him into your arms.

“I’m right here. You’re safe.” you said. He exhaled and relaxed into your arms. You smiled at your boyfriend. He put his head on your chest and closed his eyes, his tail wrapping around your waist. You kissed his temple.

“You’re like a cat.” you said with a chuckle. Kurt just smiled.

“Thank you Y/N.”

“I’m here for you always.” And with that the two of you fell asleep on the couch, cuddled together, you softly illuminating the room.
