I worked hard thanks to a snow day and I finished it
They get summoned looking a little normal “for convenience” ; none of their humanity remains in this form. Their attacks involve a lot of shapeshifting.
I used the aister card generator, but I cant link it because #tumblr….
AT LAST my entry to this collab/collection of dating app shenanigans. The original er… “Founder” of this is @thetravelerwrites !
I wanted to try writing something different. It was a fun exercise but I’m not sure I’ll return to the concept. Also sorry if the smut isn’t what you hoped for. Again, it was just a little experiment/exercise

The notification took you by surprise.
In all honesty, you’d completely forgotten you signed on to OkCryptid until your phone buzzed to notify you someone had messaged you. You fished the device from your pocket and checked the notification.
‘1 new message from Harley’
You opened the app, a little wary. You’d been on dating sites before with mediocre results so you were going in on this with a healthy dose of skepticism. Places like this tended to thrive with fuckboys and weird couples looking for a third.
Harley turned out to be a fae when you looked at their profile. A plant based fae creature at that.
They had a sharp face with high cheekbones and solid black eyes. Their hair was a mess of vines and flowers that cascaded down their back. Their skin was green and had for as far as you could tell the veiny texture of a leaf. They seemed pretty interesting so you opened the message.
“Hi! My name is Harley. I’m new to this. I saw our profiles were compatible so I thought I’d shoot you a message. I hope things are well!”
Seemed innocent enough. You messaged them back.
“Hi to you too! Things are well. I honestly was a little surprised to get a message because I forgot I had this lol. How are you?”
You sent the message and just as you made a move to put it away, Harley messaged back.
“Oh gosh you responded! Things are very well! I’m happy to hear back from you!!”
Aww how cute. You smiled a little, responding.
“Good to hear. What are you up to?”
Again, an almost instant reply.
“Not much! I have to admit I’m a bit unfamiliar with sites like these… I hope I don’t weird you out!”
“You’re good. You’re one of the nicest people I’ve met on here so far :p”
“Oh! That’s good! I mean, it’s not good you had such unfortunate encounters. I’m happy I’m not weird so far!”
“Eh its to be expected.”
“I unfortunately (luckily?) wouldn’t know. So, what do you like to do for fun?”
You two ended up talking all night. You found out Harley worked in a gardening center (a plant nursery as they jokingly called it), loved to paint, and unironically loved Rick Astley. They were painfully sweet and you felt almost glad that you were the first one they message lest some creep took advantage of them.
The talking continued the next day. And the day after. And after until a few weeks had passed.
The pair of you had exchanged numbers and had even called a few times. Harley’s voice made your heart skip a beat when you heard it. It was soft and very androgynous, like everything else about them. The call had lasted for longer than you cared to admit and left you feeling like you were walking on clouds.
So after two weeks of going back and forth, you bit the bullet and asked them out on a date.
“A date?!”
You flinched slightly at the text, praying you hadn’t misread any cue’s. Your fear was swept away with the next text.
“I’d love to!! Oh my gosh I’m so excited!!!!”
You couldn’t help but smile as you texted back.
“Great! How does dinner and a movie sound?”
“Sounds good! I do have one demand about that though. If its not to much trouble, I need to sit near a window.”
You furrowed your eyebrows but shrugged.
“Okay. I’ll see what I can do.”
“Thank you!”
The two of you hashed out any further details and decided this Saturday would be perfect. The pair of you would grab lunch and then go to a matinee of the newest super hero movie.
And lo and behold, Saturday rolled around before you knew it and with a healthy dose of nerves you drove to the little hole in the wall diner you had visited on the regular when you still went to college.
It was a pleasant little restaurant ran by a gentleman and his Werewolf wife. Their two oldest daughters worked there too last you remembered.
You parked your car a little away and walked down to the restaurant, your heart skipping a beat when you saw Harley.
They were dressed in a floral button up and a black pair of slacks. Their vine like hair was pulled back in a bun on the back of your head, reminding you of dreadlocks almost.
They were nervously fiddling with their phone and then looked up. They beamed into an almost unnaturally wide smile as they waved at you, walking towards you.
“Hello!” They called out and as soon as you stood face to face, they hugged you. “It’s so good to finally see you in the flesh!”
You chuckled and returned the hug.
“Likewise.” You said, feeling your nerves slowly fade. “I hope I didn’t keep you waiting to long?”
Harley shook their head, looking almost worried.
“No! Not at all. I’ve only been here for ten minutes.”
“Oh good.” You said, smiling a little. “Shall we go inside then?”
Harley nodded again and gently reached for your hand as you walked the short distance to the restaurant. Under any other circumstance, you would’ve carefully let go but you oddly liked the hand holding. Even if it was a little forward, especially for Harley.
The little bell above the door rang as you pushed it open, Harley following you inside.
“Hello and welc- oh hey you! Long time no see!”
The oldest of the two sisters, Ashley, walked over to you, smiling. You felt Harley giving your hand a slight squeeze.
“Hi Ashley. It has been a while hasn’t it?”
The lycanthrope nodded, her eyes falling on Harley briefly.
“So, what can I do for ya?”
“A table for two. Near a window if possible?”
You felt Harley squeeze your hand again briefly.
“Of course. Follow me!”
Ashley lead the two of you to the table to the window and after ordering your drinks and your food, she disappeared into the kitchen. You thought it was weird that Harley hadn’t ordered any food and when they turned their face to the window, it clicked.
Photosynthesis.
Dinner went smoothly, you and Harley chatting up a storm, talking about everything under the sun. The more you talked, the more you grew attracted to the fae creature in front of you, even if being the only one eating made you feel odd.
You two had to rush to the theater, having completely lost track of time with your conversation. The movie went well too. The movie itself was a little underwhelming but the jokes you and Harley made entertained you far more.
Unfortunately, all good things eventually come to an end and you felt a little sad as you left the theater and you both got in your car. You drove to Harley’s house, the two of you sitting in a comfortable silence.
It all had a sense of finality as you stopped in front of Harley’s house. Harley’s hand found yours and your fingers slipped between each other.
“I had a lovely time.” Harley said, giving you a soft half smile. This time you squeezed their hand.
“Me too.” You said. Your eyes flicked to Harley’s mouth and as if on cue, they leaned in and softly kissed you.
The kiss couldn’t have lasted longer than a second or two but it felt like so much longer. Butterflies flared up in your tummy and electricity shot down your spine. Harley pulled away with a slightly startled expression.
“Do uhm… Do you wanna come in for coffee? That what they say in movies, right?”
You let out a little breathless chuckle and nodded.
“Id love to.” You said.
If you thought hand holding had been forwarded, you were sorely mistaken. Almost as soon as the front door closed behind you, you had Harley pressed up against the hallway wall, sending a picture frame plummeting to the floor.
Your mouths were frantically pressed against each other, Harley’s arms wrapping around your neck. Your hands settled on their hips as you pressed your pelvis against theirs
“Can we- upstairs?” Harley mumbled between kisses and you reluctantly broke apart, Harley leading the way to their bedroom. With a gentle shove, Harley fell on the bed, your hands undoing the buttons on their shirt, pressing soft kisses on every bit of newly exposed skin.
The fae beneath you let your a sigh, hands tangling in your hair as you reached their belt. There was a moment of hesitation.
“Uhm… I- before we-” Harley stuttered out, sitting up. “What I have… Its not like… Like humans.” They said, looking very nervous.
You gave them a reassuring smile.
“Just show me what feels good.” You responded and Harley whimpered something as they dropped back down onto the bed.
You carefully undid the belt and took of the fae’s shoes and bottoms, leaving them in their underwear.
You noticed a bulge, albeit a little oddly shaped. It looked almost like a… Flower?
You carefully peeled down the underwear and were greeted with an interesting sight. Harley seemed to have both a vagina and a penis, for as far as you could call them that.
Their dick looked like something caught between a pinecone and some sort of fruit and it seemed to be oozing something. Beneath that sat an entrance flanked by petal like labia. You were mesmerised and just as Harley seemed to get nervous, you reached out and gently touched their dick.
“Ah, careful! It’s… It’s very sensitive.” They gasped, hands fisting the sheets and legs closing a little on instinct.
“Sorry.” You mumbled. “What do I-?”
Harley cleared their throat briefly.
“Just kinda… Stroke. Like a human.” They said, obviously a little embarrassed. You did what you were told and gently started jacking him off. The fae started moaning softly and you bit your lip, feeling yourself growing more aroused. You eyed their genitalia again and gently circled their entrance, earning a whimper from Harley.
“Please.” Was the one word they got out. “Pleeeaaase.”
You’d be cruel to deny them, you thought, so you gently slid a finger in. Harleys back arched off the bed slightly as they gasped. You curled your finger, curious to see what would happen and-
A sudden gush of liquid oozed from their dick and they let out a strangled moan, their thighs shaking.
“I’m sorry- It just felt- I didn’t mean to-”
You hushed them, crawling up to meet their lips in a reassuring kiss.
“It’s okay.” You said, smiling as they eagerly kissed you again.
“Can I make it up to you?” They asked hopefully. You chuckled, cupping their cheek and running a thumb over their cheekbone.
Your feet ached from the endless walking, tired eyes on the verge of closing shut as you made your way around the woods. You managed to accidentally stray from your path by taking the wrong turn, allowing you to become lost. The wind was growing cold as night time approached.
A large oak tree nearby. A moment of rest couldn’t hurt, could it? You set your bag down, settling beneath the tree. Slowly, you drifted off.
You knew it was stupid, knew it would likely get you killed. The gods did not like being bothered about such trivial matters. But you were just… so. fucking. tired. Tired of being alone, tired of being betrayed and used, of being constantly taken for granted. You just wanted someone to look forward to seeing you, to look forward to spending time with you, just because you are you. You wanted to be enough.
With trembling fingers, you lit the small fire, watching your offering be eaten by the flames. You had said your piece, and you knew that they would either ignore you, or you would incur their wrath for asking for help in such a thing. You loved your patron deity dearly, but you weren’t stupid. You knew what you were risking. Even if they didn’t kill you for this, you would forever be out of favour with them.
Suddenly, you felt a change in the air, and you looked up, startled. Your breath left your lungs all in a silent whoosh as you stared up at your patron deity, awed by their presence here, and confused as to why they had come personally. They could just as easily kill you from afar. Perhaps you had just angered them that badly.
Strangely, you saw no anger in their gaze as they looked upon you, only flickers of something that you didn’t understand. After awhile, they spoke up, voice carrying across the short distance.
“What is it you ask of me?” They asked lowly, though you knew they were already aware. Even with them speaking so quietly, there was power to their voice that no mortal could hope to match.
As if their question was tugging at the floodgates, you felt thickness settle at the back of your throat, tears stinging at your eyes.
“I..I just… I can’t do it anymore… I just need someone…someone to care about me. I just want someone to be happy that I exist. Anyone…” Your voice clogged in your throat and you choked out a sob, shoulders shaking with the weight of the world as you struggled to keep talking.
“I don’t want to be alone anymore.” You whispered brokenly, desperately trying to contain yourself.
Ashamed of your behaviour, you couldn’t find the strength to raise your eyes and meet theirs, blurry gaze focused on the floor before you. You must have made such a pathetic sight to them. That was why it shocked you so much when their arms wrapped around you, your breath hitching in your throat.
Your deity knelt on the dirty ground before you, and gently drew you into their chest, rubbing their hand gently up and down your back as the other rested on your head, petting gently. The kindness tipped you over the edge, and you sobbed out shaky apologies as you crumpled in their hold. Gently they shushed you, as hands that had the power to destroy entire civilisations, tenderly rubbed circles over your spine.
“Shhh now… You’re not alone anymore.” They murmured comfortingly, cradling you ever so gently to their powerful frame, allowing you to let out years of pent up agony in the form of your broken cries.
