Naga!76 angst: the old snake really likes and enjoys spending time with the reader but at the same time feels guilty because he’s so old and grumpy and well, not human :l

You could do better than him, find someone a human who would live just as long and the same age as you, but here you are with him a grumpy old naga instead of a human. Laughing, smiling and loving both him and the babies with every fiber of your being. 

Jack feels guilty, knowing that there could be someone else out there for you. Someone better, someone human, but he cannot help, but love that you chose him that you are with him. Out of everything you’ve chosen to stay with him, a grumpy old worn out naga. Helping him to raise some babies who’ve lost their parents, treating them as if they were your own and loving them just as fiercely as if they were your own. 

All of his guilt melts away when he see’s how much you love the babies, how you stayed with him after the babies hatched after they started crying when you tried to leave. How every time one of them snuck away with you, you would come back laughing and with a smile on your face and stay the night. How much time you devoted to him and babies who are not even yours makes his heart slam hard against his chest and only makes him fall even more in love with you. 

A human who could do better, find someone who is close to you in both age and lifespan, but here you are. Raising a family with him and giving him those soft and meaningful kisses that are his and his alone. His human, his mate, and partner in life.
