Lúcio just apologizing to the baby and crying even though they don’t understand. He wishes he had made their incubation more meaningful and he hopes they don’t hate him for it when they get older.
What if that’s the first time Lúcio strikes reader too??? Like reader gets too close and Lúcio gets defensive so he lashes out and bites reader. Reader is so shocked and hurt that he would do that and they don’t know what to do. 😢
Lúcio had seen so many children. Cared for so many children. Loved so many children. His heart has been broken in so many ways. Having fostered hatchlings ripped away from them, being forced to incubate clutch after clutch hoping he’ll finally have a family of his own. He hopped from owner to owner, each wanting the same thing from him. He heard you usually go numb after enough heartbreak, but he never got that blessing. Each instance hurt just as much as the last, and he wasn’t sure how much more he could take.
He finds a new home with you, and things seem… okay at first. Then there comes a day when you present him with a single egg. You explain it had been abandoned since it was smaller than the other eggs of the clutch and you asked him if he could incubate it. Strange. His other owners never really asked before. Just forced the eggs on him. He agreed anyway since this was the only thing he really knew any more, but he clearly wasn’t excited about it.
You’ve heard bits and pieces about Lúcio’s past so you knew where the anxiety was coming from. As he placed the egg in his coils, you chime in, mentioning that if the egg survives you intend to keep the child. Lúcio doesn’t believe you.
Throughout the process, Lúcio seems less than enthused. He rarely even looks at the egg, likely trying to limit any kind of emotional connection. You knew this wouldn’t be good for the baby, so again you remind him and encourage him to get close to the egg. He needs to bond with the egg so the child has an easier time bonding with him when it hatches. Still, he doesn’t believe you.
The time comes for the egg to hatch, and Lúcio can’t help but watch as the infant naga breaks free from the shell and begins to cry. Hesitantly, he reaches out to grab the baby and pull it out of the egg. He cradles it and looks into the baby’s tearful eyes. He was in love. But, of course, he sees you step in to see the baby. You whine and ask why you didn’t tell him it was hatching. You missed it!!! Dang it!!
Lúcio’s grip on the baby tightens slightly, but he doesn’t fight when you reach out to take the baby from him. You wipe the baby down, gently coo and tickle the baby under their chin, then hand the baby right back to Lúcio.
The naga is stunned. He looks at the baby, then you. Hope glistens in his eyes.
“I told you,” you remind him with a giggle. “We’re keeping the baby. They’re all yours. Ours. I’m making sure you’re never used as a heating pad ever again, okay? Now love the baby for pete’s sake, can’t you hear it crying?”
Tears immediately well in Lúcio’s eyes as he looks back down at the baby. He quietly shushes it and rocks it back and forth.
“There there…” He looks up to you, seeking some kind of permission before looking back to the baby. “Daddy’s here. You’re okay.”

“Just relax, bub” you reach down to stroke his hair. You were now hovered over his face, his hands harshly gripping your thighs as he looked up at you.
“Are you sure? What if I’m not as good this way?” He asked, licking his lips as he looks at your bare folds in front of him.
“I sincerely doubt that,” you reply.
Of course, you were right. He knew exactly where to lick and nip and suck. You encouraged him by riding his face a bit, enough to encourage but not overwhelm. You were shocked when he pulled down on your thighs, bringing you closer. You pulled on his hair when he hit all the right spots and he’d stay on that spot longer whenever you did.
